I totally didnt understand the reaction to her last night. Whilst she has clearly been on borrowed time for a while, I thought that on this task she pretty much pointed out every flaw before it happened, but got totally sidelined. She asked if she could have more input, but was told no. What exactly was she meant to do?

I dont particularly rate Laura, but I think she got a massively unfair reaction last night. When Kristina was in a similar situation in the France task, she got nothing but praise for pointing out it was doomed to failure.

Agree with you there Sid, Lucinda was great, fun to watch, whereas Laura is all sulk and whinging. One of the worst candidates ever, and hope she goes soon.

I don't rate her but she was on the money last night.
She made valid points and got shouted down. She wasn't PM and got no support from the other team-members. Alex wants to shoot himself in the foot? So be it. She gave it straight and he said "On my head be it..".

She did not deserve to be in the BR.

She realised the kiddie thing and pointed it out, Alex just ploughed on ahead regardless. Then Sugar tells her that she should have made him change his mind. How can you possibly do that if the person in charge won't listen? Did she not also point out the picture looked like a woman as they were doing the bottle? Again ignored by Alex and again a critisism by Sugar.

Then she and Stu finished up the radio ad quick smart and she asked to do more, but Alex didn't want or need her.

Finally she wanted to do the pitch, but Alex put Sandeesh on that.

What more could Laura do? If she tried to be any more forceful then she'd have been accused of being negative and disruptive. There's only so far a person can go before having to sit back and watch those in charge do what they want.

I think it was right not for her to be in the boardroom and for Sandeesh to be there. After all, it seems the only thing that Sandeesh did was to read out somebody else's words without messing them up.

At times She reminds me of the girl in the Exorcist then sometimes a cartoon character then sometimes a cuddly toy I think it's because she has eyes that are too close together.

She shouldn't be in the dog house. she's this years cassandra.

I've done my own thread on this, so I'l leave you the choice to have a look at my views on that.

Unfortunately she has the same problem as "cassandra" did - she can't get people to listen to her without appearing negative or rubbing people up the wrong way. Although she did have good points on this task, it's not enough to save her for much longer.

I hope Sugar realises that he got it wrong on her.

I'm beginign to wonder if he wanted Luara inm the final 3 so he could have sacked her and not Alex and if that is the case, then thats out of order as she was the best person on that team.

I got the impression that Chris was stiching Alex up, that he knew it was a rubbish cheesy name and wouldn't work and let Alex go with it, knowing he would probably go because of his previous close calls in the boardroom.

That wouldn't surprise me if that was the case - I'd trust Chris about as far as I can throw him. He is an investment banker, after all.

The type of task and the fact that both teams were equally abysmal left Sugar with his own free choice of winners, and it didn't surprise me one bit that the Octoklean team got away with it once they had nothing bad to say about their PM.

I reckon his Lordship was itching to fire both Alex and Laura, based on Alex's cock-up last week and the report from Karen about the Catfight of Denmark Street. He even said it aloud when he was sending the whole team out: "At least one of you will be fired"

I wonder if Alex twigged this and gallantly saved Laura, though frankly I doubt it as he seemed to be on another planet throughout the YF show. Not the man with the greatest EQ in this series, our Alex.

I think they were a bit harsh on Laura...though she is a sulky moobag....

I felt sorry for Laura this week and thought it was harsh to blame her. She made the right calls, but nobody listened. Sure, she didn't deal with it particularly well and seems to just sulk and whinge, but I didn't think she deserved firing.

Actually think she's done kinda alright since being PM, but Sugar clearly doesn't remotely rate her and will get rid at the first opportunity, so she is on borrowed time.

Think Laura was trying to put in a strong showing this week, and doing all the right things, then getting put down for her effort.

That said, Lord Sugar's already made up his mind. He wanted a double firing this week. "At LEAST one of you will be fired." Was never going to be Chris or Stuart, he dismissed Sandeesh personally, and was trying to persuade Alex to bring Laura back into the boardroom. Her days are numbered, but it's a shame as she's finally starting to get some pretty good work done. She sold alright last week, too.

I have a real soft spot for Laura. I think she has big potential.. she just needs to be put on the right path and taken in the right direction and Lord Sugar could be the man to do that job, if he chooses to hire her. She's a hard worker, a grafter ... she just struggles to be heard over the bigger personalities. If she learnt to be more assertive, then she'd make a good leader. Unlike Liz, there's room for improvement with her and we could see her grow as a business woman.

While I agree that she was the strongest this week that she's been all series, I'm not sure that this is exactly true. What they showed on You're Fired, but not on the main programme, was her agreeing without a hint of complaint to doing the radio advert. It was only afterwards that she threw a massive strop about being deployed in the wrong area (or however she worded it). In that particular instance, she has to wear that herself.

Every single fight this series and look who is right in the middle .. Yep, Laura.

Yes, but sometimes we forget the age differences of candidates. I think Laura is 22 and Lucinda was about 33, which gave her more time and experience to learn how to respond to things.

Laura seems unable to put anything across without putting a negative slant on it, and she seems quite happy to get bogged down in pointless arguments when time is short and the team need to get on.

If Alex hadn't been so completely determined to shoot himself up the arse and brought her to the boardroom instead of Sandeesh, she'd have gone.

Laura should have gone in Week 2, when she was such a weak PM and made a stupid error over exclusivity, so I feel she's lucky to still be there at all. If Sugar doesn't rate her, he missed the ideal chance to get rid of her then.

She does whine something terrible. She didn't deserve to go this week; Alex did, so I don't mind that he didn't bring her back. But she'll go soon, I think, and I won't miss her.

But surely by the same token, Laura was focused more this episode than any of the other females.

I haven't even paid that much attention to her until now................and wow, she impressed me.

She's young yes.....but is fighting her heart out to survive against the other females....and in this case...the Stepford Wives.

She did spot some of Alex's errors and it wasn't her fault he ignored her. But anything she did right wasn't enough to counteract the awful impression she's made before.
