Yet again Nick was spot on with his comment. His comment about the OctiKleen ad was hilarious, my thoughts exactly. I was horrified with their outdated advert - the little woman clearing up the mess then making herself look beautiful for her husband. Definitely a throwback to old ads of the 1950s that have been shown for a laugh.

Also think Nick was on the money about the ad.

I think if they'd just picked a random person off the street they'd have come to the same conclusion.

'you were on it like a tramp on chips' is a classic quote.

That's not original. It may have originated from John Motson. Quite a few people use it.

personally I liked the utter disdain in his voice when he explained the premise for the ad.. 'send the kids to bed, do the cleaning up, so she can.. as an octopus, perhaps... .... grope her husband.'

it was just dripping with disgust! laughed so hard. rly wish bbc would compile a 'best of Nick' to show on YF at the end of the series.

The poster never said it was original; they said it was their quote of the day.
.
Nick was correct on this occasion but sometimes he can be way off e.g. his support of Paloma last week...

Oh if only they had done the same ad but reversed it to the man finishing of the dishes etc.........
Then it would have been OK.
Or, if that is offensive to men why not show them both finishing of the dishes etc...

Sleazed the advert hubby...

who had done **** all to help tidy up (using his two hands).

Let's do the time warp again...
