So, you think some of the contestants are telling porkies?....
I think the age would be the easiest thing to check, as it would be on much of the documentation they would have to produce before the show started.

I would say he is in his early 30s, but surely they have to show their passport at some stage ?
At the end of the day, a job is being offered to someone (TV show or not) and any job I have been for (in the last five years or so) I've had to show ID at the interview that confirms who I am and that I have the right to work in the UK.

Behave - of course he's not in his 30s! He actually comes across to me as younger than 26 - he's like an overgrown teenager.
I know what you mean. They LOOK older. But they act like kids. So the ages given are probably right.
According to the Births index on Ancestry Alex Epstein was born between Oct and Dec 1982 which puts him at 26 when this series was filmed in the autumn of 2009. I know they spin a lot of stuff on The Apprentice but I doubt the contestants of the BBC lie abut their ages since this is very easily verified by things in the public domain.
