A Plea to Bruno
MarkBluemel
11-11-2010
Bruno,

With the current scoring rules, every tied couple gives lower scored couples an extra point, which means they need less public support to survive.

You are the last judge to vote, and so have the power to influence ties.

Please start voting tactically, so that no couples draw in the judges' scoring. Then the mathematics becomes fairer and we have a better chance of losing the worse dancers.

As I understand it the judges put their scores on their pad immediately the dance is finished so Bruno will not know what the others will be scoring..........apart from perhaps Alesha that he can talk too,.

If it were the case that they put the score on the ....then Len really did think Scott's Rumba was worth a 9 and wasn't a reaction to Craig's 4??????

Or having worked with Craig for so long, Len knew he would underscore Scott so he gave him a nine to compensate. The average of their two scores was 6.5 which probably wasn't far off being a reasonable score for that dance!

I was hoping this would be a plea for him to stop saying SSSSCCCCOOTTT in that annoying way, gets me like fingernails down a blackboard.

They do. They showed it last year. As soon as the dance has finished they enter their score on a keypad beneath the desk. They then relay their score to us after old Man Legs has done her little bit up on the tessanine

Yes it was his genuine score (but see the posts about knowing Craig would underscore) if this wasnt the case we would have seen Len scrabbling around for his 9 paddle after Craig has said '4'

As others have said, it's likely Len knew Craig was going to under mark. They sit next to each other so he could have quite easily sneaked a look at Craig's score before submitting his own. Also, they probably chat (whisper?) to each other during the dances so I suspect Len has a sense of Craig's feelings towards a particular dance.

Len is clearly heard having a discussion just before he comments on Felicity/Vincent's Paso
The 'eavesdropping' into conversations has been happening a lot this series and I can't make up my mind if it is deliberate or if the sound 'technician' has a faulty watch

Craig slagged off Len for his marks after commenting on Ann/Anton's Charleston which I feel is all part and parcel of the 'sketch' that the Judges are playing out!
Craig's facial expression at the end of their routine (supposedly the photo) is so obviously stage-managed - and rehearsed - that the whole Craig versus Ann thing is scripted imo.
(He is from a theatrical background after all )

Re Bruno - his remarks are totally unsuitable for the time of night that the show is broadcast, the worst being to Patsy this week: Patsy/Robin's ChaChaCha
