UK Fans! We promised you’d be next and true to our word…here’s the full list of Maiden’s UK Tour dates 2011:

JULY
Wed 20
Thu 21
Sat 23
Sun 24
Wed 27
Thu 28
Sun 31

Scotland, Glasgow SECC
Scotland, Aberdeen AECC P&J Arena
England, Newcastle Metro Radio Arena
England, Sheffield Motorpoint Arena
England, Nottingham Trent FM Arena
England, Manchester MEN Arena
England, Birmingham NIA
AUGUST
Mon 1
Wed 3
Fri 5
Wales, Cardiff CIA Arena
Northern Ireland, Belfast Odyssey
England, London O2 Arena

This will be an extensive 10 city arena tour for the final run of dates on their FINAL FRONTIER WORLD TOUR 2010/11. For the first time in many years, the band will be playing shows across the full length and breadth of the UK, including places they’ve not visited for up to three decades!

Steve Harris comments; “Everything in the Maiden camp has been so full on these last five years or so that we haven't travelled around the UK to play for our home fans for almost that long. These fans supported us by coming to Twickenham Stadium, Reading and Leeds Festivals, Download and more recently Sonisphere so we thought we should get off our backsides and do the travelling this time and get round the country to see them all. We very much look forward to playing all four home countries and a couple of places we haven’t been for a very long time, Aberdeen and Belfast! And playing the O2 gets us as close to the East End of London where Maiden started off than we have been for many a year, probably since the Ruskin Arms! All in all l think this is going to be a very special series of shows and a wonderful way to end this whole world tour.

“We intend to take the full stadium show into the UK arenas and fit everything we possibly can into each venue. The set list will be different to this year’s tour. Of course we will play more songs from the new album and some other recent material, but we intend to include a healthy dose of older fan favourites too for those who haven’t seen us before, plus a spectacular light show and stage set, not forgetting, of course, …Eddie!”

The UK shows will be the culmination of The Final Frontier World Tour, which began in June 2010 with a hugely successful 25 date tour throughout North America, followed by selected European stadium and festival shows, including Knebworth Sonisphere in the UK. As recently announced, early next year Ed Force One will fly the band, crew and equipment 50,000 miles around the World visiting thirteen countries before the band take a short break prior to the extensive European Tour (more announcements soon) of which the UK is the final leg.

As always we hope to facilitate “First To The Barrier” for our fan club members at as many shows as possible, details of these will be announced nearer the time on this website.

There will be an exclusive first ticket pre-sale for Iron Maiden Fan club members, before tickets go on sale to the general public on Saturday November 20th. Please keep checking this website for updates about ticket sales and further information about the special fan club pre-sale.

THEY'RE FINALLY COMING TO BELFAST, CANNOT WAIT!

At last they've seen sense and gone for the London O2 over Earls Court! Assume they have other dates waiting in the wings when it sells out, or there are going to be some unhappy people around!

Well it is the final leg of the tour, so I wouldn't be surprised if they added a few more dates due to demand.

I'll be up on Ticketmaster first thing on 20th November to get my Belfast tickets

Amazing that they are still doing huge stadium tours, when there was a time in the 90's when I thought that if they were still around in 2010 they'd be doing the small club circuit now! .

I was lucky to have seen them many times in the late 70's, playing to a handful of people in some real dives and as support to the likes of Samson & Saxon. I though t they were great then, and still prefer their first two albums to anything they did after, but really didn't think in 2010 (over 30 years later!) they'd be playing places like the O2!!

It's hard work and connecting with the fans, above any real music greatness (IMO) that has kept them going, which i tip my hat to

It's incredible when you think of where they were in the 90s - total disarray. Fear Of The Dark was released in 1992 and for eight years after that they only released two mediocre albums with Blaze Bayley, and basically lost a huge portion of their fanbase.

Even Brave New World, released in 2000 and marking the return of Bruce, failed to make any real impact in terms of chart success. But look at where they are now - The Final Frontier is their most successful album in terms of chart performance ever!

There are very few bands who could rebuild a fanbase like Maiden have over the past 20 years. They're almost as popular now as they were back at the release of Number Of The Beast in 1984!

1982. I should know, that's when I got into them! Great that they're still going strong now!

Only one date in London, and in a venue that's far too big...great

Still, I wouldn't miss this for the world, and it's encouraging to see that a heavy metal band (albeit one of the biggest and greatest of all time) is being met with such a huge demand in a country with such a dire popular music scene

Up the Irons

I've been listening to nothing but Iron Maiden today in celebration of this tour announcement!

They're not even my favourite band (although in my top three, alongside GNR and Metallica), but I honestly don't think any rock or metal act has such a huge number of what you would call "essential" tracks. A proper Greatest Hits album would easily need 20-25 songs I think.

They were great, shame the seats I had were so dire that they cut out all teble and it sounded like they were playing with no vocal...

...no wait, hang on... 'twas almost as tremendous as if Blaze was still their lead singer

Yep.

Gutted I won't be in the UK for these dates but I'll catch them somewhere else.

I was too late for the standing tickets at the O2 but have got two lower tier seated tickets directly opposite the stage. So it should still be good.

O2 is far better than Wembley Arena or Earls Court.
