The Bourbon Biscuit Mystery
Where have they all gone? I haven't been able to get any for weeks now, apart from two last packs in a corner shop.
None in Morrisons, none in Tesco, none in Co-Op. They can't have stopped making them, as they're all different manufacturers and the stores usually make their own. Is this like the disappearing bumble bees mystery? Have you hunted some out? Give me some tips please. |

You've actually made a good point, i didn't realise that they'd been took off the shelves.
I've just done a search on the ASDA website and it only returned one make. http://groceries.asda.com/asda-estor...questid=246553 |

They've probably all been nicked to put in the Christmas mixed tins
![]() Sainsbury's have them, as do Waitrose. Are there any stores near you? |

I'm sure I read somewhere that there had been a fire in a biscuit factory. I don't think I imagined it, but can't find anything on it now.

Still, in the scheme of things I guess it's trivial.

I think I'll have to. Daughter is moaning about not having any with her cup of tea in the evening. Terribly neglected, she is.
![]() ![]() I'm going to nip into Waitrose and stock up before they sell out! |

Grrrr that's right. You leave me sitting here with none.
![]() ![]() ![]() However, I did pop into Asda on the off chance and they had cases and cases of Smart Price ones on the bottom shelf. Don't know how picky your daughter is though. See, I do have some redeeming features

I'm going up to the meeting rooms in my office to snaffle a few packets after the tea ladies put them out before the meeting starts. That's terrible and I should be sacked.

When I went to sainsburys a few days ago, they had signs on the biscuit shelves saying there was a shortage of biscuits, and the shelves were pretty empty. Strange :|

That's what I can't understand. If there was a stop to Crawfords or Peak Freens (sp?)I could understand it. But the supermarkets don't even have any of their own brand ones that I usually get.
Still, in the scheme of things I guess it's trivial. ![]() There isn't special factories creating supermarket own brand items. But the main brands make them for supermarkets (sometimes a different recipe, sometimes the same) to sell under their own label. So a problem at one factory won't just affect one brand. If you can't wait until the shortage is fixed, you could try making your own: http://www.cookitsimply.com/recipe-0010-019y56.html |

I think you will find that supermarket own brands are made in the same factory.
