How did each couples training look for this week
footygirl
11-11-2010
So how did each couples training look for this weekend. I missed ITT last night so wondering how each couple looks in training

It could be very interesting on Saturday as Matt and Aliona and Kara and Artem have probably the most difficult dances ion the rumba and AT

Can someone give me a run down

And I have a feeling that this is how the public vote is going

1st - Ann
2nd- Matt
3rd- Gavin
4th- Kara
5th- Scott
6th- Pamela
7th- Patsy
8th- Felicity
9th- Michelle

Unless I was losing the plot last night (which I might have been - just got my dance exam results) I can't remember seeing training....

To be honest I can't remember them showing any training footage last night!

We saw a few second shot of Matt rehearsing, he is co-hosting The One Show this week so has to rehearse in the studio there. How many of the others are working as well as rehearsing?

I can't see Scott being top - he's tweaked his hamstring - and it takes a good ten days to recover from that at least - and given he has the Charleston - I think he will struggle with that.

Matt I don't think will be top - the rumba is an actors dance and I think he will find it tough to convey the emotion.

Kara - AT is difficult, more footwork for the woman to do - and I am not sure if Artem has any experience in the AT

Pamela - Cha Cha is quick and footwork needs to be sharp - and Pamela did struggle with Jive

So it could be a surprise winner with the judges, maybe Patsy who has the VW could be top on the night

They didn't show any in-depth training footage last night because Chris and Ola came back to do a half term review of each couple. Where they did show snippets, I don't think they were necesarily of this weeks dance.
I assume that we will get a more in-depth update tonight. Well I hope so anyway!

Could be a surprise with the judges leaderboard this week - still think though that Michelle or Felicity will be leaving on Saturday night

I would imagine Kara will be top, followed by Scott and then Pamela.

Obviously I've no idea how consistent the SCD vote is because the BBC never release the figures. But the X Factor do, and in previous years I've been amazed at how inconsistent it often is, and how much the order changes every week, depending on song and order they come out particularly. I would stongly doubt that there is a consistent order for the couples week after week.

Scott is still working isnt he Gavin is training with his new club every morning too....dont know about the others.

I dont think its been confirmed that Scott is doing the Charleston has it.....as far as I knew it was either Jive or Charleston unless they have two couples doing the same dance again this week as they did last.

I agree. I think Ann has probably been about top 3/4 until now but not top (although I have a little fear that the media furore may actually increase her vote this week). I have a hunch that Scott's vote will have increased last week and he was probably top. Gavin is no more than mid table I suspect.

Scott has a hmstring injury so can't see him top this week

Is that still a problem?

A hamstring injury usually hampers you for aboout 10 days - 2 weeks. That is why his rumba looked stilted as his movement was restricted - the rumba is a slow dance - so if he is troubled to that extent a jive or a charleston is going to look for laboured as they are quicker dances

Thanks for the information. It's a shame we haven't seen more of the training, I didn't even know which dance everyone was doing. It would be interesting to have a surprise leaderboard. It could also shake up the voting a bit.

I think this is the most likely bottom two, as they have both been there already unfortunately, and I think maybe Michelle has more of a chance of making a better impression with the paso than Felicity does with the salsa.

If you look at the "Dances for week 7" thread, you will find most of them there. Someone is usually kind enough to start a new thread each week. Scott is the only one we don't know for sure yet, I think.

Was it actually a proper injury rather than just a tweak? I only say that because I haven't heard it being mentioned and that made me assume he'd just been a bit melodramatic about the whole thing.

There was no training footage last night, it will be tonight probably. Nothing was ever confirmed about Scotts injury, even on Saturdays show so i imagine they have a few things to clear up, i guess on tomorrows ITT as they are not on tonight. Praying for a good week for him.

Thanks I didn't think it had been mentioned. Thinking about it i would have expected either him or Natalie to say something about it in the bit near the doors of the backstage report.

I thought it was strange that nothing was mentioned (IIRC) on Saturday, nor since. I thought that it would have been mentioned at least, before (althought the VT was full of EE stuff) or after in the Tessamine. Plus I just rewatched it and he ran up the stairs very well.

I suspect he had the hamstring equivalent of man-flu.

God I'm so thick, I never took that into consideration how he ran up the stairs. Maybe Scott didn't want to mention it.

However I admit I haven't compared how he 'normally' runs up the stairs to last Saturday. I'm not that much of a geek.

Going up stairs is one of the things which is difficult with a hamstring strain though, and his face didn't show any discomfort.
