I thought all the food came out of the microwave or the deep fat fryer, How can they make a christmas dinner?

It's vastly improved in recent times (although I appreciate there can be variance from pub to pub, like any chain). Why not give it a try? |

Have you actually tried it, or are you just a sheep that believes everything you read?

Or are you, in fact, one of those posters that for some strange reason just can't resist adding the 'roll eyes' to their posts without first thinking it through? |

So I'm guessing that by the use of the sarcastic 'roll eyes' smiley at the end of you saying it 'doesn't conjure up nice images' you really mean that it does the opposite and in fact it does conjure up nice images of pub grub. You see, you're being sarcastic about your negative comment, thus making it a positive comment.

Show me a pub chain that doesn't mainly serve food cooked from frozen. Wetherspoons is good value and usually they haven't ripped out the insides of their pubs so it is generally convivial. lLving in an area dominated by gastro-pubs, this is very welcome.
