We were taught this rhyme in Sunday school in Devon many years ago.

Was there such a person? Did this event really happen? And if so, was she related to the Ms Widdicombe that we know and love?

With just a little alteration I have taken the liberty of posting this on the limerick thread.

Much to my shame I recall boredom in Morning Service when, in the back of a prayer book, I made a crude drawing of a couple of breasts with the caption "And Solomon in all his glory never had a pair like these."

Still don't know how I got away with it - my handwriting was always quite distinctive.
