now cameras offer image stabilisation -

do any offer horizon adjustment. seems to me a camera could easily adjust an image slightly to get the image parallel to the horizon if required.

I have the Pentax K7 and it has an electronic level indicator which I find very useful (I guess other cameras have a similar feature).

The K7 also offers composition adjustments, when mounted on a tripod you can move the sensor including rotating it to make small corrections.

My tripod has a spirit level. I don't know how cheap adding a quality electronic spirit level to a camera would be though. It would need to be good too to get the precision, can't get away with cheap stuff unlike in mobile phones.

I guess most people correct this in post-processing.

The in camera one is really only useful when you are handholding - I agree I would use the tripod spirit level if I was using it.

I suspect most of the electronic gubbins for the electronic spirit level are already present for the in-body stabilisation to work so it probably doesn't cost too much to get it to be displayed.
