Madonna- Miles Away, Bad Girl and Oh Father (all charted in lower positions of the top 20 and top 40 singles charts, truely breathtaking songs!) and Jump (while in the top 10) rarely gets a look in but a fantastic anthem! also Erotica is such a HUGE song! but with it not being 'radio freindly' it's rarely played. Love everything M does!

Britney- Break The Ice, missed the top 10 but it's such a classy synth pop tune! and Outrageous (love the song but without a video it didn't chart highly) and Overprotected doesn't get played regularly and it's my favourite song by her EVER!

Christina Aguilera- You Lost Me (written off by critics along with Bionic, but this is a truely defining song!) also Hurt didn't chart as high as i had hoped

Rihanna- Te Amo, missed the top 10 but was a HUUUUGE song of the summer

Beyonce- Sweet Dreams (the only one i REALLY love!) seriously loads of songs of hers are played to death yet this never gets a look in!

Michael Jackson- Leave Me Alone (love loads by this man, but THIS is a true favourite and gets overlooked)

TLC - Dear Lie - It didn't do well for them. Their other official singles from FanMail were all top 10 and are well known; No Scrubs and Unpretty. However, Dear Lie hovered around the lower end of the chart for weeks and weeks. It's chart run was 32 > 46 > 42 > 37 > 32 > 31 > 37 > 50 > 74, so it peaked during the middle rather than upon release. Most songs would probably disappear if it's debut was in the 30s then the week after in the 40s, but this one sprung back.

Only a handful of Alanis' singles have been hits in the UK. Most of her singles get overlooked, especially the more recent ones.

I wouldn't say Smooth Criminal was overlooked at all. He has bigger songs, but everyone knows it.

Same goes for Gaga with LoveGame. The disco stick line is pretty iconic already. It didn't chart as well as the others because it was the 4th single here from an album that everyone already had. I think it was #6 in the US?

Ecstatic someone mentioned Overprotected! It did terrible in the US but great here I think it peaked at number 4 but it really doesn't get much play and is my favourite Britney song!

thank you! and yes that song is very underrated as is the whole of her third album really, it marked the beginning ofa new direction from the Teen Pop Uptempo's and was really coming-of-age eventful but fans and critics got mixed etc.etc. and Overprotected was also not on The Singles Collection, SERIOUSLY!?! i was shocked! Still am infact, would have much rather had Overprotected on the compilation instead of Boys (although i like it!), Britney and Max Martin at their top!

I was very dissapointed about the miss from Singles Collection aswell! It didn't quite add up for me. I would have given Boys or Piece Of Me a miss for Overprotected, well I'd exchange most of them even though they are all great!

I have friends who love Britney aswell but they seem to draw a blank when I mention Overprotected !

Queen released five separate singles from Hot Space: Body Language, Las Parabras de Amor, Calling All Girls, Staying Power and Back Chat. Anyone remember any of them?

I love Body Language and Staying Power!

Hot Space wasn't their best though.

LoveGame was Top 5 in:
- Australia #4
- Belgium (Wallonia) #5
- Canada #2
- Netherlands #5
- France #5
- Hungary #4
- USA #5

For a flop single, it did fairly well worldwide, better than a lot of other lead singles!! It has already cemented itself as a modern classic with its hook, though. I agree, it should have done better over here. Although Paparazzi was the 3rd single here and LoveGame was 4th, whereas it was the other way around everywhere else in the world. I guess it was a case of everyone already owning it, as her album had been at number 1 for a while at the time too!!

Forgive me by Leona
The voice within by Xtina
Red blooded woman by Kylie
Denial by Sugababes
Me myself and i by Beyonce (ever since 2003, it has always remained my all time fav song from her)

I can understand why a person said Love Game. It is overlooked compared to Poker face, Just dance and Bad romance. They are her three signiture songs. But if i am honest, give me Paparazzi, Telephone and Speechless over those three anyday.
