The only show where the (deliberate) editing is absolutely appalling ?
Watching back some episodes of this (and other) series', the editing is shocking.
After seeing any episode more than once, you can tell what a hatchet job they've done. As an example, in the one where Melissa was fired, I think it was Joanna (in the cab) who wanted to know who was doing the pitch; at this point, Joanna had the phone in her hand; a few seconds later, Stella feeds back to her that it's going to be Melissa; all of a sudden we see the phone no-where near Joanna, and she's just biting her nails (which had nothing to do with her asking that question). Talk about disgraceful editing (and editors) |

I think you'll find that this is true of all reality television. Producers aren't bothered about portraying reality, only about making good television.

The 'only' show? Really?
Editing is necessary for shows like this - they have about 40 minutes to show a task that can last two full days and they have to make it coherent so that the viewers can follow the 'story' of that week. I actually think they do a great job. The Irish Apprentice, for example, is much more difficult to follow in terms of who's good/who's going to be fired because the editing isn't as skilled. There could have easily been about 10 seconds of meaningless chit-chat in the time between Joanna asking the question and Stella answering it in which Joanna put the phone down - the editors can't leave that kind of stuff in without leaving something else out. Compare that to something like Britain's Got Talent - Susan Boyle's first audtion was actually appalling - the editors included a shot of Piers Morgan to try and imply that he was laughing at her when she appeared on stage - only problem is that he's wearing a different shirt! |

Are you sure? The shirt looks the same. Maybe I'm missing it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxPZh4AnWyk
But I like that reality tv is edited. It'd be bloody boring otherwise. |
