Are Apprentice Candidates Just Good For Entertainment Value But Not Business?

I love watching it but is it just more of the same. He must have enough apprentices by now.
He always seems to have a group of fools before him and that is down to casting.
Has the show lost it's sparkle now?

I know nothing about the world of business, but love the show.

So, from my point of view, yes

I actually think the candidates are anything but in the business world. They are usually appalling at their pitches, have no common-sense when it comes to products/ideas etc, and their choices whilst carrying out tasks is abysmal.

Maybe they're all the sons and daughters of the editors and producers of the show ?

I agree with you both. It is great telly.
But it is mainly gobby people he has and not real deep thinkers. I mean, I reckon Richard Branson would get fired if as a young man he went on the show. But I do love watching it.

Yep just about every large corporate one for starters! And it's worse, they get paid and often promoted (cos the able leave).

Btw most of the production crew are in their 20's to early 30's. So even less business experience there too I should think.

I never saw the first season but I got hooked when I caught an episode from season two. I find it just, if not more, as entertaining now as I did then.
