There was a thread on here a week or so ago where people were raving about the turkey crowns, until they discovered the country of origin....chile...I'm staying well clear now.

Thanks, yes I did read about country of origin , hormones etc !
This year year the country of origin is france, more than happy with this as the French are very particular on free range birds ! I always buy Tesco's bronze whole turkey in the silver foil and never been disappointed, but my lads prefer breast meat, so thought I would take it easy this year and try two crowns @ £9,99. Went into Aldi to check them out, and saw the stuffed 2,5kg turkey breast roast with bacon wrapping, looked ok, but wanted to know if there might be more stuffing, than meat ???? Anyone tried this one @ £12.99 ? |

If it doesn't say free-range, its a sweatshop chicken. |

I had the most strange tasting chicken in France once. We were going round Europe with a caravan. Got a chicken from the supermarket, cooked it and tucked in.
