FYI - My HDR couldn't be bothered to record this. Not currently available on iPlayer either. I've recreated the timer for tomorrow. My box doesn't use Accurate Record. I just checked and it was sat there listing the GP from 7th November but nothing for this weekend.

Can you explain what you mean by does not use AR. Is that because you have auto padding or have edited the reservation to a manual one ?

My F1 series link caught the last few races automatically, but none of this weekend's sessions. Fortunately I spotted it in advance, re-setup the link for this weekend, and it recorded the qualifying, and tomorrow's race is in the schedule already.

Sounds like it's down to the BBC and the programme ID they've used/been using, rather than the box.

EDIT: Just thought, this will be the second race since BBC One HD started, so they've just not reused the same programme ID at all.

No auto padding. It was supposed to be on series link.

I've noticed that it's now on iPlayer but it won't play. It just pops up 'Sorry we lost our connection'. I don't believe it's my ISP (Be Unlimited) so I guess they're just having a bad day. I'll try again in a couple of hours.

I live in hope that one day broadcasters can figure out how to pull their heads out of their arses.

Oh and, yes, I always thought it was the BBC. Fair play to Humax - I've never had reason to distrust the HDR

The BBC1HD series links have been acting strange, Ive had 3 or 4 that just stop midway through a series and you have to manually set the HDR again to pink up the rest of the eps.

My F1 on BBC One HD started OK but ................ it didn't stop . Decided to record MOTD as a single programme and I got a clash warning for something I hadn't requested. For safety I thought I would request the Sunday morning repeat and when I requested it I got the "Do you want to cancel the reservation" message! Conclusion BBC One HD data was mucking fuddled

Pretty well all the series links I set for BBC1-HD when it made it to the epg have stopped working because they have changed the series crids. This includes Eastenders, Wallace & Grommet and others. Best to scrap any BBC1-HD series you may have and replace them. BBC-HD ones are not affected.

Same here (not all, but as in another post above series link not continued despite further programmes in the series). Only on BBC1 HD.

Unless you saw some special preview or something, what you saw would have been an SD feed upscaled to HD - FOM (Formula One Management) still only make SD feeds available to broadcasters, so if you're assuming what you saw on BBC One HD was from a HD feed, it almost certainly wasn't.

That said, BBC One HD's F1 does still look slightly better than it did on normal BBC One.

I believe the rumours are that high-definition F1 feeds will be made available either next year (hopefully, we've waited long enough), or the year after.

I noticed this yesterday when Strictly didn't start recording. On checking the schedule there was also a problem with Eastenders, Doctors & Have I got news for you, all set for BBC1 HD. Have I got a bit more news for you was fine, but this is on BBC2.

F1 didnt record for me, looks like they are having severe problems with the series linking and start times.

Doctors, Eggheads Autumnwatch, Reggie Perrin and the complete series of Moving On all on BBC-HD and set way before BBC1-HD launch all continue to work without any changes. I deliberately left the ones showing on both channels as the original reservations.

Perhaps more precisely I should have said I had a problem with at least one BBC HD Series Link (which may have been for a programme which also was now on BBC1 HD) as well as problems with BBC1 HD Series Links so thought it prudent to delete and restore the lot.

At least I eventually got to see the qually. The HQ stream was available first thing this morning. Glad I saw that - at least it was exciting. The race itself was - quelle surprise - pretty boring.
