She's good, better than scott for sure. Scott is the judges favourite and seems to be getting the Tom Chambers treatment.
However, her AT was good, but not a patch on Rachels and Vincents

![]() Matt is NEVER overscored! The judges seem to pick up on the slightest little thing with him. Hell, one week, Len even scored Matt only one mark more than Anne, of all people! ![]() ![]() Kara is brilliant and Artem is producing some very exciting routines, i can only pray he gets to choreograph a showdance! |

I'm not sure what the issue is.
Kara and Scott have both had their fair share of 10s and have deserved them. I accept that the rivarly will step up as the final draws closer, but I don't think there's any favouritism going on with the judges. Kara's Tango and Scott's Jive were both outstanding, but the latter just had the edge in my opinion. Only just though. |

I thought that Scott deserved to be top of the leaderboard & Kara deserved 2nd.

I don't think she is bland, I like her personality when she is on ITT. She comes across likeable and very self deprecating.

Kara is consistently good, she reminds me so much of Alesha and her relationship with Artem has the same warm as Alesha's and Mathews' did.
![]() I thought Kara's routine was perfect for a celebrity and therefore deserved four 10s, whereas I thought Scott's was very good but with an absence of technical quality and therefore deserved four 9s. But I don't begrudge Scott his 1st place. I think he needed a lift after last week and this is the way the judges gave him that lift. It's not technically right but eh, so be it. Also, I think Kara's AT is the best we've seen on Strictly by quite a way. Ramps' was all showmanship with not a lot of technicality, Rachel's was all about technicality without any showmanship. Kara's was the perfect marriage of the two in my opinion. Dance of the series for me, just in front of her paso and foxtrot. |

Ithe problem of judging Scott and Kara and even Matt together tonight is that they dance very different dances.
Personally I hate the jive and no matter who does it, always looks like a stupid dance to me. So to me Scott was way overscored but that is being very subjective. I was looking at his feet and many time they were not pointy at all so I was surprised that he got 10 when I thought that was a bad technique. But, hey, what do I know about jive? Really nothing. Matt was underwhelming, I had high hopes for the rumba. But then my thoughts about tom chambers were the same he was my favourite with only one performance that really captivated me (quickstep). Kara, well, every single time I am left with a smile and in awe. Love their dancing, their partnership and their passion for dancing. I really feel it. |

Anyway, here is hoping that Scott being seen as the teachers pet will help her to get more votes.

I don't see Kara as being undermarked but I do see Scott getting consistently slightly overmarked, with the exception of his rumba last week.

Actually, Kara also had a timing/balance issue about a third in. She's really good - and I thought better than Matt tonight but she's not being unfairly marked overall. I also wish they'd dress her in a less hideous outfit. She's got a lovely figure but these geometric cutouts are so unflattering.
well i thought the dress was fantastic and was spot on for the dance

I thought that Kara should have got higher marks than Scott this week. Scott was excellent but maybe there was a point being put ie, 'Scott best dancer' after his rumba last week. I doubt if he lacks support so I think that Kara, should have got 10s.

Kara might have got the 4 10's she deserved if she was on last. Scott got maybe 2 marks extra for being on last, taking him ahead of her.

I thought their AT was really good (just watched it on iplayer), but I also thought it was a bit robotic in places and never really slowed down enough for much in the way of sensuality/passion/chemistry/whatever to come across. However, that's more to do with the routine/choreography than how Kara danced it.
The 9s versus 10s thing is a difficult one, but I think the judges should be allowed to have some discretion there; without it, scores of 37, 38, and 39 would be impossible. And the difference in scores between Kara and Scott tonight was down to Len giving Kara a 9 and Scott a 10 and nothing more. From the way some people are going on about it (and I know that it's about the leaderboard too), you'd think it was much bigger. I'm not sure how I would rank Kara and Scott at the moment. Both dances were great, but I don't think either of them were perfect. I'm tempted to give it to Kara because I didn't like Scott & Natalie's use of props/separation, but I think Scott performed/acted much better. |
