To be honest it was a better performance than Scott, and on that basis deserved 40/40

I know they are getting good marks most weeks, but time after time to me they put on the best show, and end up a little of the lead.

Maybe Matt or Aliona's face doesnt fit, or he or she isnt signed to the same agency as the judges or something? Cant explain it any other way...

It was never a 40 I'm afraid. He did well and his 10's will come as they did for tom and mark and he is a better dancer in my opinion.

Sorry, I think they were overmarked. He had some hip action in places but the judges were spot on in that he wasn't dancing every beat the way he should have been. He was rushing through the first two beats to get into his place in the third and fourth and then he stopped which is wrong. But still, best male rumba this series definitely. Good chemistry between them, not bad choreography but didn't deserve 9s for me. 8/10.

I think he's slightly better than Ramps but not as good as Tom.

not undermarked this week

would love for him to get the 40, as I want him to win (although scott and kara are probably miles ahead)

Aliona also had both feet of the floor at one point.....which is a lift and should have docked them more marks.

Also asking for 10s has never gone down well with the public usually.

It was a good mark for a male celeb rumba.

For such a natural dancer he has terrible hands too, which should be so easy to put right.

I thought he was vastly overmarked! It didn't deserve 9's at all. I would have give it a 7/10.

I thought he did brilliantly for a male rumba.

I think he was pretty flat-hipped and when he did get them going, it wasn't fluid, but rather strained.

I think he was a bit over-marked, tbh. But then so was everyone, including scott, though he was the best of the lot.

All a bit underwhelming.

From what i've seen of ITT this week and tonights show....... It's pushed on them more than anything.

I really loved their rumba, but i didn't think it was undermarked at all.

Thought it was just me getting annoyed with his hands!

They are awful and no one has said anything about it yet- tonight was really noticiable to me- its like he is finishing a gymnastic move every time and he throws them out to the side!

they havent asked for 10's, Tess and Claudia have both asked them if they are wanting 10's but they havent asked for them

I'd rather they were undermarked than overmarked, too early to get 10's in my opnion at this stage.

I cant really comment about the technical aspect, I know next to nothing about dancing

All I can say, is in almost every show, Matt & Aliona have put in the perforamance that I enjoyed the most and that seems the most musical... I did think the unicycle and fake moustache was a bit silly though.

I thought it was a beautiful rumba for a male!

It made me cringe a little bit

Having said that, he is fantastic and will have no shortage of 10s before long IMO

I blame Aliona for this - like Natalie with Ricky's posture issues last year. With someone who grasps the steps so easily and is as musical as Matt, this just needs concentrated effort on one element (which, you're right, probably stems from his gymnastic days).

I was shouting at the TV when not a single judge mentioned that, after Len's comment last week.

It was good, but not great IMO. I think it was equal to Pamela and Patsy's dances. And it really bugs me how both of them keep mentioning getting a 10. I apologise to all supporters but this just puts me off them the more they do it. At least he knew he wasn't getting one tonight.

I think he is the most naturally talented male dancer in the show this year, beautiful lines and movement and that was defiintely one of the better male rumba dances of any of the series where, lets face it, there have been some absolute shockingly bad dances from the men. Unfortunately I don't think the the female partners tend to choreograph very well for the male celebs in this dance because most male celebs are not very good with the old hip action they just have them playing statues while they twirl about in something ultra skimpy to distract attention.
With a better male dance they should try and choreograph so as they have a bit more to do.

Overall I think Matt is a little let down by Aliona's not always very imaginative choreography and also poor song choices. Dancing the AT to Bat out of hell was a travesty of dancing. I hope at some point she comes through with a stunning routine and song choice.

Yawn.....'Lost in you' was a perfect choice of song for the rumba, and the choreography was loads better than what Natalie put together for Scott last week.

I thought the scores were fair, but if Len gave Scott 9 last week, then Matt should have got 10.

I actually thought Matt was overmarked this week, he did not really do any dancing, Aliona was fabulous and took the spotlight off Matt to a large degree, which I think was the whole point considering it was a rumba, I like Matt by the way, but is is so far behind Kara and Scott in ability now.

Totally agree with you olivej. Its only Claudia and Tess batting on about 10s. What are M & A supposed to say when asked about 10s? "No - not for us!"

Matt & Aliona don't keep mentioning 10's, they have never asked for a 10. Claudia and Tess are the ones obsessed and keep asking Matt if he want's a 10 which I think is in very bad taste.
