Ok, this isn't a bashing thread, I got nothing against the guy. But seriously, 9's?? Gavin has certainly improved a lot, and this week was his best dance in my opinion, but come on now. I thought he was over-marked last week, but this is silly. The dance did have 'entertainment', but there were huge errors, and it was lumpy in several places. I actually feel sorry for Gavin a little, as the judges over-marking him are making him think he is better than he actually is.

Surely I can't be the only one to think Gavin is being over-marked?

I agree. The marking for Gavin is so wrong its become embarressing. He made one major error and none of the judges commented on it.

It was not a good quickstep, and the judges have done him no favours by bigging up a dance that may have been entertaining, but was lacking the required technique for quickstep.

I dont think about the marks I think about the position on the leaderboard and for me he was about right tonight.....he perhaps should have been equal with Patsy and Pamela (they were 1 mark below) but I enjoyed Gavin and Katya more than either of them so for me he wasnt overmarked....that would only have been if he had got more than Kara or Scott.

Totally agree with you and can i also add Patsy, i'm sorry, but as soon as she got in hold she was fumbling.

Gavin was overmarked. If one of the women had made a mistake on the scal;e of Gav's then much comment would have been made and marks much lower, I think... Certainly he was improved on previus weeks, but he still made a HUGE error.

Come on they don't want to lose any more men so Gavin is going to be kept in at all costs. The judges have always manipulated their scores to achieve certain results. And I liked Gavin's dance and bothered to vote but i wish they would trust to the public and not talk rubbish under the guise of expertise. {good on James for picking up on Craig's twaddle for once}

I thought everyone bar maybe Kara was overmarked tonight. I love Gavin, but yes, he was overmarked, but I still love to watch him dance and he makes me smile!

I don't think Gavin was in the right place on the leaderboard Jan.

His routine had a certain charm and he's a nice guy and he's improving but that Quickstep was not better than what Pamela or Patsy produced.

It was of the same standard as Michelle's Paso (if that).

Noooooo Sid - Gavin's QS was a delight. I agree that Patsy was a delight but I found it better than Pamela.

Of course my bias is showing - I love Patsy and Gav.

I love Gavbot so I'm happy - I'm rooting for Pam and Kara, would've preferred him below Pam but I loved his routine and I'm over the moon for him. Come on woobie Gavbot!

I like Gavin too. But I was gobsmacked when those 9's came up. I think they're patronising him with marks like that and being unfair to others who are technically better.

I've been quite vocal about not being keen on Pamela and I'm still not. But she was miles better than Gavin.

ooohhhh no Sid have to disagree with that.......it was so much better than Michelle......but I might have to agree that Pamela and Patsy could feel a bit hard done by. I have a huge soft spot for Gavin and Katya they make me smile every week.

I didn't think there was much quickstep in it, not enought flying around the floor for me. Too much comedy routine, but it will boost his confidence no end. Strange reaction from him at the end with Tess, he looked like he was going to be ill !
