Has Aliona let Matt down with choreography?
Considering his capabilities I am expecting more from Matt. Its almost as though Aliona wants to showcase her abilities more than her partners. (Less me and more we Aliona)
I would love to see Matt, Kara or Patsy win. |

I didn't particularly care for Aliona last year as i felt she was more for herself than her partner, this year i think she's much better tho.

I think she's doing a good job. I like her.
Matt/ Aliona and Kara/Artem for the final 2. |

We have to bear in mind that he doesn't have as much training time, so it's a shelf life for Matt. No I don't think Aliona has let Matt down at all, Matt just needs to show a bit more interest.

She has done in the past but not tonight. As Rumbas go, this was put together very well and I liked the choice of music.
Unfortunately though, I don't feel much chemistry between these two and that's not something you can fix. |

It's the way bbc are portraying them not to have chemistry when in actual fact they do. Biased producers.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() How do the producers do that? But personally i think they do have chemistry. |

I don't think it's Aliona's fault if you're not enjoying Matt's dancing. I'm not saying they're the same but for example, I don't blame Michelle's lukewarm execution of Brendan's routines on Brendan.

Her rumba choreography was far superior to Natalie's last week. I'm not saying she gets it right all the time, I don't believe she does, but it's an unjustified criticism this week in my opinion, and certainly if Matt doesn't win it is not Aliona's fault. I've never seen her showcase purely herself, the rumba is a dance for showing the lady off.

![]() ![]() ![]() It's their lack of real chemistry on the dancefloor that people notice and they can hardly edit that out can they?Personally, tonight was the first time I was some chemistry between the two, I think it was the only part of the dance he executed really well. |

How are they ??
Something is telling me altough bbc booked Matt, I don't reckon they actually like him very much. He just needs to maybe show a bit more interest and incentive to go that extra mile. Suppose if you accidentally look like a rabbit caught in the headlights, it isn't a vote winner and thus needs to have more motivation in him to convince us guys that he is win worthy. To win scd you need to retain and hold the audience together, that is what Matt needs to do a bit more, then he'll be there. Out of honesty I would love it if Aliona could try something different with him, otherwise they aren't going to bring in the vote volume they want. |

Ask that to Moira Ross and the production team. To be honest they are making a farce out of trying to go out of their way to keep Anne in, they will have to reconsider for next year. Just get the hint that they want a final between the two eastenders actresses, (aledgedly I voted for Kara tonight) and Anne Widdecombe. Brucie and Tess did my head in tonight with repetitive jokes and being patronising.

Aliona is lovely and her choreography is great, IMO. Didn't think Matt danced the Rumba much better than Scott. He seemed equally as jerky and uncomfortable..... but the judges saw it differently and who am I to argue?

Normally I would have agreed that Aliona's choreography is an acquired taste, but tonight I thought she did well with that Rhumba routine. You must know that Rhumba is traditionally not a high-scoring dance for male celebs, so I thought Matt did exceptionally well considering Scott only scored 28 last week!

Ah so you actually have no examples of this unfair treatment to post so you deflect onto the production team and Ann Widdecombe. Sure the BBC absolutely hate Matt Baker.....they have given him no work at all have they....he isnt on Countryfile or filling in for Jason on the One Show.....I wish the BBC hated me that much

I don't understand this at all. So Matt isn't doing as well as you'd hoped and it's Aliona's fault or it's the BBC's fault or it's the editor's fault
I'm expecting a barrage of annoyed Matt fans but I'm really not trying to goad you or tear down your guy, I'm just at a loss as to why there are so many threads bemoaning his unfair treatment. I didn't see a great deal of potential in him to begin with and now that everyone seems to be annoyed that he hasn't lived up to what they saw in him, it baffles me that they're looking to everyone else for fault and completely ignoring what I saw week 1, that he's not that spectacular. If you disagree, I completely respect your right to and feel free to ignore me. |

Confused by your comment about the BBC not liking Matt. He's fronting the revamped Countryfile and getting huge ratings and often gets the One show gig when Manford's away (one of the runner ups to Manford getting the full time spot). Hardly jobs he'd get if they didnt like him. I;d say he's one of their assets.
