I don't understand this at all. So Matt isn't doing as well as you'd hoped and it's Aliona's fault or it's the BBC's fault or it's the editor's fault
I'm expecting a barrage of annoyed Matt fans but I'm really not trying to goad you or tear down your guy, I'm just at a loss as to why there are so many threads bemoaning his unfair treatment. I didn't see a great deal of potential in him to begin with and now that everyone seems to be annoyed that he hasn't lived up to what they saw in him, it baffles me that they're looking to everyone else for fault and completely ignoring what I saw week 1, that he's not that spectacular. If you disagree, I completely respect your right to and feel free to ignore me. ![]() And I am speaking as a non-fan. Kara stole my heart tonight and ran away with it with her AT.

I like Matt a lot (probably my favourite this series) but I don't think for the most part he's being under-marked. The main problem is the judges over-marking other people who aren't as good as Matt, so it looks odd in comparison.
He's still got a lot of work to do, mainly in not showing so much tension in his face and hands, but he's a great, naturally talented dancer. He hasn't earned a 10 yet but I don't think that's the choreography so much as the details I mentioned above. He doesn't have a lot of rehearsal time so they probably haven't been able to focus on ironing that stuff out yet. |

Mark my words, Matt's time (tens) will come, very likely when he's doing jive or paso.

Just wish Aliona would sort his hands out. I was so mesmerised by watching them along with her hair I missed the dance.

Aliona's choreography comes up all the time, It seems to have carried on from last year and i can only think of one other thread tonight with someone saying he was undermarked. How does that translate into so many threads bemoaning unfair treatment? Matt is not perfect, he's got things to polish, but who is truly perfect? Everyone has something to work on. Matt may not be your cup of tea, but that doesn't mean that other people don't see a great dancer in him. I personally don't blame anything on Aliona, the bbc etc because i don't see anything majorly wrong anyway (not that i would if there was) Week after week i enjoy his performances and i think he's fab. |

I accept that you really enjoy him and I said in my post that of course people are free to disagree with me. You don't have to defend your opinions to me at all and I don't have to defend mine to you. I wasn't trying to goad, just stating the way I see it. |
