Songs you never thought would be surpassed
Have you ever liked a song, supposed it would be the best by the singer or band then unexpectedly heard them release a new song that you liked even more? I have on a few occasions, examples since the 80s including:
Pretenders: I expected Message of Love to remain my fave of theirs but it was surpassed by Back on the Chain Gang. Kim Wilde: Kids in America surpassed by Rage to Love. Bon Jovi: You Give Love a Bad Name surpassed by It's My Life. Coldplay: Yellow surpassed by Fix You. Badly Drawn Boy: Disillusion surpassed by You Were Right. |

Probably Rihanna - Umbella...ok its still her best selling single.
I think Umbrella is one of the best songs ever but my god shes had some cracking hits since then. Russian Roulette, Hard, Rude Boy, Te Amo and Only Girl are by far her greatest hits personally. |
