I've found Ann inoffensive up until now, and I've admired her ability to have a laugh at herself and enjoy the experience. But for several weeks, during judging comments, she's been interrupting more and more to the point where I just want Anton to clamp a hand round her mouth so that she's forced to just listen. What's particularly irking me is the way Ann's constantly bringing up 'teasers' about what she'll be dancing in the coming weeks, obviously trying to whet the public's appetite. Anyone else irritated by the relentless self-promotion?

Yes. It shouldn't be forgotten that Ann is a ruthless Tory politician who had babies thrown in the Thames to reduce the taxes of her rich masters. I can't see her falling on her sword for the sake of fair play, JS style.

Yes she is so loud and annoying, her constant interrupting really got on my wick tonight.

If only she could have a dancing injury to take her out of the competition. Sadly since she isn't actually dancing I think it unlikely.

I think a lot of people have already picked up on her assumptions of being around to dance the 'insert appropriate silly dance here' in 2 weeks so vote for me now and I promise to be hilariously bad. It will gradually lead to mass suicides amongst dance lovers across the nation but face facts. She will be around until the really popular celebs are left. ie Kara, Matt, Scott and possibly another. I love Ann's teasers, they definitely whetted my appetite, I cant wait to see what she will be dancing if she makes it through to next week.

That's the problem I have. I now almost want her to survive the next two weeks to see her try out the Samba and the Rumba - even though it's unfair on those who would go in her stead.

How about instead of voting to keep her in you just visit youtube and watch her previous dances? You'll be seeing nothing new over the coming weeks that you can't get for free courtesy of the aforementioned website.

1) I've never found Ann inoffensive.

2) If he did that she'd probably eat it.

3) Yes, but then I'm irritated that she's still besmirching my screen at all.

Am aware that posters will probably think I've crossed a line there but I don't care. Ann has skin that is thicker than whale omelette (thank you Blackadder) - she won't give a stuff that anyone is imsulting her. For her, all publicity will be good publicity and I reckon she'll be quite flattered that she's the main source of discussion for so many people. I don't think anyone need get offended on her behalf.

The whole nation would probably love to see Ann and Anton try out the Samba and the Rumba, it could be TV gold.

Ann is staying in for a while yet - unless there is some miraculous combo of judges scores and public vote. Just deal with that - and don't let it stress you out.

I think both she and Anton are lapping up the publicity. And her rude interruptions of the judges and references to what she'll be dancing next week are supremely irritating.

Wise words. I myself am almost completely anaesthetised at the moment, but I fear that there are many others need your sage-like wisdom.

Why ?..we all know roughly what to expect by now, and even as a joke, it's wearing a bit thin.
It doesn't stress me out, I just think SCD has become more like Celebrity Big Brother..which is kind of sad.

She was unfazed by the death of her brother, so she will not be fazed by mass suicides across the nation.

Until the electorate wise up to the necessity of tactical voting she will divide and conquer. It took Labour and SDP 15 years to translate thoughts of tactical voting into action, so I am resigned to the worst at Christmas. God have mercy.

Don't like her, do not find the dance routines at all funny. Dislike the fact that she has to mention what dance she will doing next week as if it is a foregone conclusion that she will be there.

Can't wait for to leave.

I do quite like her but the joke is now wearing thin.
Still - who can we blame if we do not pick up our 'phones and vote (endlessly) for others?

I haven't felt the insane urge to vote for anyone. None of the contestents are worth wasting money on.

I'm 100% with OP. Miss Widdecomb's first week was far less embarrassing than I'd expected. She was the mad old bat of an aunty with good self-deprecation skills.

Then I got annoyed at Anton's choreography, which seemed to focus more and more on emphasizing her ungainliness. Last week was particularly offensive.

This week she was just rude and irritating. In fact, I'm surprised that she does continue to get votes; to me she's gone beyond the 'let's vote for her to wind up those who like actual dancing' stage to being bloddy irritating in her own right but hey.

I'm having trouble laughing along with Ann now, because she's no longer laughing at herself.

I'm really tired of her not letting the judges speak. At first it was witty banter, now it's plain rude.

I can't stand her, she's rude, unfunny and for me not entertaining in the slightest. Sad thing is we have to watch her and we lost people like Tina and Jimi.

I hope she goes soon.

That is a WICKED thing to say People grieve in different ways. Apparently he loved her being in the competition and his family asked her to continue. OK if you don't like her. But don't assume how she felt when her brother died. That is totally below the belt.
