Last night was just fantastic, loved the show.

Kara MOG I loved that dance (even though the AT is my fave dance), just fabulous. Scott (not a fan of his) but that jive was superb hard to pick the best two totally different dances but both brilliant.

Matt yeah ok but I HATE the Rumba he did his best.

Pam, loved the begining of it, I really liked the dance she brings out the best in James she really does.

Patsy my goodness she is really getting better though I think she has peaked now but her confidence is so mucy better and you can tell.

Gavin what a turn up for the books, that dance was excellent (shame about the error) I cannt stand the bloke but when he kissed Bruno that was hilarious - thank god he found his personality (probabl been in his sock drawer all along)

Flick and Michelle really pair of duds, went to make a cuppa when they were half way through

Ann, ah bless no comedy routine, she did steps and she tried and although really she should not be there I applaud her for last night

Best series? It's not even in my top three as things are at the moment! I guess we all have different tastes!

Same - until the props and the comedy act go, it won't have a hope of ever being in my top 3, even though there are 3 people I wouldn't mind winning!

Scott and Kara were sensational and I love the routines by Pam and Patsy. Just watched it as I was out last night and it was great.

Hated Gavin's bid for the gay vote though. What a twit! (I assume that was what was going on?).

This is my second or third favourite series. Nothing tops Series 5 in my mind.

Fantastic group dances with the pros and celebrities. We have nothing like that in this series.

Best series in what way? Least charisma displayed by any zleb? Worst wardrobe? Most irritating use of props? Highest number of contestants with least amount of talent?

Only Kara and Scott are keeping me watching this series tbh, and I doubt that SCD8 will get out of my bottom 3 unless the props and faffing abaht disappear altogether.

I'm not holding my breath though.

I think that the best series was series 5- the top three in that year all could have won if they were in different series. Nothing has even come close to that series since.

That's an interesting one- what are the worst three series! Series six and seven for me, and this one likely to follow unless something else happens. I do like Kara and Scott though.

I'd have to agree Katie, Series 6 and 7 were probably my least favourite (although I liked the pro dances). The over-use of props, overmarking and silly comments/lack of constructive criticism from the judges is ruining this series for me, although there are one or two celebrities who I enjoy watching.

Series 2, 3 and 5 would have to be my favourites, the good old days!

Tbh Katie, I don't really look at this year as a 'Strictly' series at all, but more the first of the British DWTS series, and as such it's bottom of my list. Second bottom goes to SCD7 and third from bottom goes to SCD1

I agree with the OP. Haven't enjoyed a series so much since Ramps@ triumph in Series 5 (?)

Worst ever for me.

I'm not referring to the celebs, a number of them have achieved an amazing standard - it's the tacky production that spoils it for me. The props - most of which have nothing to do with 'the story;' the judges ignoring illegal lifts, the woeful Widdecombe etc.

Yes I know - I still watch - but this year it seems less from enjoyment and more an addiction.

It depends how the second half goes. Series 7 was half-decent until Blackpool whereafter it fell off a cliff and never recovered.

If they tidy Ann away neatly, produce a winner I like, have the top three or four produce dances to the standard or higher than they have up to now, round Gavin and Patsy's "journey"s off successfully, avoid stupid "p-word" or vehicular assault scandals, and nobody drops out by injury, I think it will be one the top 3 series.

Worst series is automatically any that involves Justin Lee Collins.

Series 5 is my all-time favourite though, by a considerable margin.

Last night was indeed fantastic, I also loved the Halloween show to bits - but the year Alesha won will always be my favourite.

Worst ever series for me. I don't like many of the changes they've made this series.

-Ditching the dance off entirely.
-The gimmicky props and costumes.
-Ann Widdecombe.
-Keeping Alesha.
-Ditching half the popular professionals.
-The dragged out, tensionless pre-recorded results show.
-New set.

For me -

This series is already better than 6 & 7, but I'll wait until it is finished before deciding where it fits in!

I think I'm a strange one because Series 6 is my favourite. The top four couples were all great dancers, even if some were greater than others... :P

depends on your criteria of "best"

so taking "most likeable celebs" as the criteria, this series for me is as good as series 2 and 3 where I liked at least 2 or 3 of the celebs, and voted for them

In all the other series, I had my favourite celeb , but wasnt bothered by anyone else
