I'm surprised about the number of views the spoiler thread has.

I wait for the results show, but come on here sunday morning to read your comments on the Saturday show and manage to avoid the spoiler thread and any other threads that might inadvertently give it away.

I don't know how the views are counted- if one person looks at the thread 30 times, is that one view or 30? If multiple views by the same person are counted, that number is misleading, because a lot of people will refresh and revisit when they are waiting for the result to come in.

This is the first year I have read the Spoiler thread. The Sunday results show is just not entertaining enough for me to spare the time to watch it. So I find out who has been voted out on a Saturday by reading the thread.

I wasn't even aware there was a spoiler thread to tell me the results this early!, but i wouldn't look at it anyway!, it would be like opening your xmas presents on xmas eve!.... you want the excitement of the night, it would completely ruin it all for me.....

No, I don't read it either, I prefer to find out on Sunday night

Er why? The lying BBC(nothing new there then) tell porkies about it being done on Sunday when it really happens Sat night.

I just tried that out as I was curious , It was 21 hits and I had already looked at the thread ,So I hit it another six times and it stayed at 21 .So I guess it only counts new posters as a hit .,

Yes i realise that but we don't see the results show until the sunday evening so to all intents and purposes that is when we should know the result!....

So we won't tell you the result. It had more bearing when there was a "dance off" to allow disregard of the public vote but now the Sunday show is just a gap filler.

Last week I broke away from my normal habit and patiently waited in the spoiler thread for the result. Mostly because we knew it was that time in the series for a shock result and I am getting tired of having to stay away from this forum for 20-odd hours if I don't want to find out who has left before the results show.

I'm not sure how anyone could avoid the result. Not only did we end up with 3 spoiler threads by Sunday morning, but I found 2 references to Jimi leaving in non-spoiler threads as well.

The pleasant surprise last week, however, was the fact that knowing the result didnt spoil the Sunday show for me in anyway, so this week I stayed again until the result was in.

There is altready a blatant reference today in a non spoiler thread .I know the result but would be furious if I didnt .,

I read the Spoiler for the first time last week. What I found annoying was the over-use of the work "shock". It's hardly a shock that someone goes as that is the way the show is structured. If you haven't voted for someone, you are not interested in whether they stay or not, so why should it be a shock if they go?

Oh dear.

I think for Blackpool week I shall definately go back to my former habit of staying away. Shame but definately the lesser of 2 evils.

I haven't seen that, thankfully! Perhaps I'll stay away from this bit of the forum for the rest of today. Thanks for the heads up

That's quite interesting as shortly after the result appeared in the spoiler thread, a now "inactive" member** popped up saying it was a lie and Twitter was reporting a different couple had gone.

Let us know if tonight's result is the one you were given, if you remember later

** Not sure if the guy was just trolling in the spoiler thread, or if his ban was for something else. Apparently he was being very rude in the X-Factor forums, so he may have genuinally believed the spoiler being reported was incorrect.

He also started another thread saying a relative had text him after the show saying that one of the pro's had a nasty fall and was badly hurt, but that wasn't true either

I do not read spoilers for TV series, soaps, etc, but SCD is not that kind of a programme. I just want to know the result and if there's a way to know sooner I take it.

I don't like spoilers but spoilers can't be stopped when the result is recordered but I can dm now if you want to know the name of the person I was told who left

I read the spoiler and watch the results show. Knowing the result doesn't spoil my enjoyment of the results show at all and I still get nervous and excited!

Spot on.

It does bug me that people let the cat out of the bag though and it is sheer thoughtlessness.

Unfortunately there was a genuine troll on the spoiler thread last night.

Every week I resolve not to look but by about 11 on Saturday night I always have I have no willpower! Doesn't spoil the Sunday show for me though.

Last year I didn't read the spoiler thread but this year, since the first elimination show it's been a godsend as it's meant I haven't had to watch the Sunday show. Just disliked the format so much it seemed pointless watching it
