Craig is about the only judge being honest this year - and not just with Ann. Scoring her on either dance or entertainment would get me reaching for a pen to add a - in front of the 10 on the paddle.

Exactly you can imagine if he used the same verbage on the plank (Gavin). We'd have meltdown on the forum. Craig deserves all he gets. He would not use that crap on normal people unless he wanted his features re-arranged.

I really havn't noticed him being very complimentarty with Gavin ,Lacklustle and lame was what he called gavins dance last week and Gavin nodded because he himself felt that he hadn't done his best

Somewhat of a better way to take critism I would say

You know Craig has said himself all he wants if for people to learn to dance well and he does give constructive critism

If Ann chooses snot to listen , she wont improve. Oh wait she really hasn't improved at all has she

Why the Ann Hate?

I watch to be entertained. It's a dancing contest. I want to see the various couples striving to dance routines which are better than all their rivals and in doing so earn the "glitter ball".

Ann has so many personal "hang ups" she is not prepared to enter into the spirit of the competition. She has a strict personal code on dress, on the steps she refuses to do, and were it not for Anton she should have been out weeks ago.

She has completely lost any respect I might have had for her. She has made herself a laughing stock, and will forever remain as such in my mind.

I decreed I would never watch John Sargent on TV after last year's debacle and have since then changed channel each and every time he has appeared on screen. Let's hope Ann's agent gets her a permanent gig with John's show so that it minimizes my list of unwatchable programmes.

Why Hate Ann ?
Hate is such a strong word, I don't hate her but dislike her because she's rubbish, can't dance, wont do the moves and she's quite obnoxious to boot.

You see, from thereafter, your argument becomes meaningless.

It's a Saturday evening family light entertainment programme.

Yes, with dancing - it is in the title Strictly Come DANCING. Ann is not dancing and probably never could. At least the previous numpties tried and were prepared to stick to the rules of the dance. Ann has her own rules which clash with those. Therefore she isn't dancing in the true sense of the word.

Quote:
“Ann is training very hard, she was so tired she was even pictured falling asleep on the train home.”

Everyone does that!

What is your definition of 'entertainment'? And shouldn't you be taking legal action against MGM for issuing 3 films called 'That's Entertainment' which included the likes of Fred Astair, Gene Kelly, Leslie Caron, Ann Miller, Ginger Rogers and The Nicholas Brothers all dancing.

I don't hate Ann. What a silly word.

Her political opinions are anathema to me.

I find the various strictures she puts on costume and moves to be attention-seeking and applying a very superficial definition of modesty and "clean living". This gets on my nerves.

She's a terrible dancer and my preference is to see people getting better.

Her routines tap into the rather unpleasant bear-baiting trend in reality TV, which I find makes my skin crawl.

These are the reasons that I rank Ann bottom on the list of this year's Strictly contestants. Any other viewer is welcome to take a contrary view, I don't mind, but these are my reasons.

This! Fantastic post, agree with all your points, and want to thank you for saving me the trouble of having to define and articulate them!

Like others I don't hate Ann, any celebrity that takes part must have some guts to take part but she does the same steps for all her latin dances she shows NO improvement and god forbid she actually wins it will be the death knell for Scrictly
