Weather forecast for Blackpool

Seen on Countryfile:

A deep low will move slowly north-east into the Irish Sea during Friday, carrying heavy rain and strong winds with it. It will continue towards the Lancashire coast overnight.

Will the SCD crew film the cast arriving at the Tower for rehearsals, or will they give 'em a chance to dry off first / will Blackpool council seize the tapes?

At least the weather won't be like what it was on Thursday night. A lot of the illuminations have been destroyed and the promenade was closed!

Oh and Lytham windmill lost one of it's sails.

Not that this has anything to do with the dancing.

Everytime we've been to Blackpool, it's been cold and wet, even in the summer!

I think cold and wet is probably a safe bet for next weekend!

Very true! I was there a couple of weeks ago for Kyran Bracken's Ice Party (brill, incidentally) and it's fascinating to watch people strolling around. We usually play 'spot the Southerner' (I'm one, incidentally). They are the ones wrapped in jumpers, fleeces and waterproofs. The Northerners, on the other hand, stroll around in shorts and tee-shirts*, oblivious to the cold wind and rain. I am full of admiration.

* Or, given that this is Hen Party Capital, tight vests and a shocking pink tutu.

I'll bet you Craig's wardrobe has a fine assortment of tight tops and tutu's.
