They were excellent, I saw them on the Royal Albert Hall programme last night as well, that was very moving too.

It was lovely, but it ended a bit abruptly for me, as though they'd taken a bit out of the middle.

I liked them. Simple and effective.

Was it the same song that was performed at the Festival of remembrance?

No idea, sorry. Never heard of them before today.

I think it would have been better to not have Vincent and Flavia dancing too because it drew attention away abit but still thought it was beautiful.

I thought it was the best part of the show...A very moving song and Vincent and Flavia danced beautifully as always. I really liked it, but very sad

Normally, I love watching Vincent and Flavia, but I think it really did detract from this performance. The soldiers should have had the candles, not Annie Lennox. If the producers wanted to show something to accompany them, maybe some pictures of wartime couples might have been more appropriate.

That would have captured the mood much better than Flavia and Vincent dancing!

The song was the last letter of one soldier to his family/wife/gf and the reason it ended abruptly coz that was the end of the latter...

"..... love will never die"....

I was there on Friday when they rehearsed it (twice) and the main Soldier singer explained the concept of the song and that the words of the song were the contents of the letter, no more, no less .....

I thought the performance was beautiful and poignant and loved Vincent & Flava's dance contribution really fitted the piece.

It was beautiful and the lyrics were so moving and I cried. They have wonderful voices.

So I found this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnZxNh5hORw and suffice another tear...... moving but lovely

I agree. V&F should have danced to Annie Lennox, and the soldiers should have had candles.
