If Katie outshone him so much in the sing off what does it say about his progress -he was going backwards .

What has that got to do with the suggestion that the judges should have allowed for the possibility that Aiden's fans dropped the ball ?

I mean they knew that Katie being in the bottom two was no fluke, but they didn't know the same of Aiden.

Giving him another week would have answered that question

The fact is Katie actually sung better in the Sing Off and deserved to stay. No point in having it otherwise. Aiden got his second chance to impress in the Sing Off and failed again. If he had put in a good vocal performance he would never have been sent home.

As far as I am concerned Aiden blew Katie of the stage tonight. That was a true performance by somone putting their heart and soul into it he just has so much stage pressence, he owned it. He bowed out in style. Katie look dull and ordinary in comparison.

I really dont think this is the last we will here from him.

Whether or not Katie sang better than Aiden in the sing off is a matter of opinion ... not one of the judges said she did

Did she? Thats not what I saw.
I saw Katie give very bland average performance versus Aiden putting his heart and soul into it and owning the stage. Was it vocally flawless? probably not. Do I give a rats todger? deffinatley not. He blew her away

Those that finish 9 to 16 will be not heard of again as they wont be on the tour. Is the same every year.

You must have been listening to a completly different show then me then. Aiden had several piching issues in his perfomance. Im not a massive fan of Katie but just judged it fairly on what I heard.

Considering he did have the least amount of votes that would have been unfair on Katie.

To be fair before Katie went into self destruct mode she was actually better than Treyc in the sing off.

Cheryl Cole should of been made to vote though as that could of made all the difference.

nope listened to the same one and have watched it back several times. He smashed it.

and if you read my post properly you would alread have my answer to "pitching issues"

Any flaws were minor. I would rather a chrismatic performer come out give his all and really sing from his heart. I love live music which is by its nature raw and I have never seen a performer give an entirly vocally flawless performance (and I have seen Rufus Wainwright live)
I dont have any interest in watching somone free of charisma stand stock still blandly and listlesly singing away which imo is what Katie did this week.

I love Aiden and I thought his sing-off performance was brilliant. I'm stunned that he's gone and I'm even more flabbergasted that Katie has survived yet again. It's obvipous the public dislike her and she's got no chance of winning, so why did Simon choose to keep her over Aiden, who may just been perceived as having an off-week?

Missing him already.

That's the whole point of having the judges choose. Sometimes a fluke happens and someone unexpected ends up in the bottom two ( complacency factor ) The judges are in a position to 'save' that person and give them a second chance ... even if they were bottom of the voting

In this case it was obvious that the person who has been in the bottom two for four weeks on the trot was the one who did not deserve another chance ... given that she'd had three already

Call me paranoid, but I think he was worse in the live version.

Well, either the quality of that video is rubbish or it's been edited to make him sound better. Like I said, call me paranoid.

OK, if you think like that then what did you think of last week?

When the judges admitted that TreyC sang better, but still saved Katie?
