Yes, he was stunned to get through, but Dannii should have ushered him off stage and given her hug time to Aiden, who was left to stand there alone.

Anyone would have thought it was Paige in the bottom two!

I feel sorry for Dannii. Imagine being hugged by Paige, its like being smothered by the Michelin Man.

I know! Poor Aiden was just stood there like a spare part looking gutted whilst Dannii and Paije shared the world's longest hug!

i think everybody thought that paige was going. i think dannii may have thought that aiden would have been safe even in the sing-off? cheryl looked seriously worried

Why should she have ushered him off immediately!!???

He was in the bottom three and deserves the right so celebrate his success with his mentor!!!

Besides which if Aiden was truly decent he should have celebrated his fellow contestants success too!!!

Should have pissed off after a quick hug. Seems like the actions of a drama queen. (Who the hell is voting for this talentless boob? )

She probably never expected him to go. That's why she wasn't making a fuss of him. Even cheryl thought katie was going if you look at her face when paije's name got called out,she looked defeated.

Do you have to be so nasty

Paije deserved his time to celebrate. If they'd have announced Katie and Aiden in the bottom two and Paije jumped up and down and grabbed Dannii, then he would have been unreasonable. He was in shock anyway, and so was I.

I think Dannii was expecting Paije to be bottom 2 and not Aiden (perhaps she reads the digital spy spoliers)

She probably thought - no way can Aiden go in a sing off. She was wrong though - clearly she wants to stay with the show as she is keeping mum about her true feelings - she didn't save Katie last week which was the 'line'.

I agree with the OP. I thought it was awful how Paije hogged all the attention, and they hugged while Aiden stood there. It is awful enough to be in the bottom 2, but then to have your mentor snub you like that. Ridiculous.

He was not in the "bottom three", there is no such thing, for all we know he could have been the second-highest polling contestant, because the results are not called in any particular order.

I like Paige, but he was not the one needing all the hug time from a shared mentor.

He'd been dissed to bits last night and was in shock! Jeez is the guy allowed to have feelings and emotions?! At that point I'm sure he wasn't counting how many seconds of his allowance of Dannii he'd had. He broke down!

Aiden looked resigned.

And Ads, there's NO need to be so rude.

I thought this was quite selfish on paige's part, it looked like he was going to break down into tears so i think that it why danni stayed, meanwhile aiden stands around like a spare part.

OK then he was in the last three left on stage!!! That equates to bottom three in this case... !

Okay!

I'm sure he must have been overcome to get through, and there's nothing wrong with a big diva-like reaction. But the big baby routine should have been curtailed in the few moments available so that 'Mother' could attend to little boy lost.

It's all a bit chaotic in those situations so I don't really think it's fair to criticise her for impulsive reactions.

The poor guy probably thought he was going- it was relief from him and shock

To be honest you have to respect Paige... he's survived the death slot twice now.
