Has anyone else noticed:

even if we HAD the Dance-off - Ann hasnt been in the bottom two, so would still be in the competition anyway!!

Ann's popularity is growing all the time, all the viewers can't wait to see her samba and rumba.

Perhaps because she is never seen on the balcony of Tess' turret, applauding her fellow contestants?
Perhaps because she mocks the effort others are putting in by making next to no effort herself?”

She is seen often enough applauding while watching the monitor.

Yes most people have noticed. What percentage of the vote she is getting is anybody's guess. I don't think she is a patch on JS for entertainment value but since I haven't voted since he left then I can't complain. I don't really like any of the celebs this year and the judges marking is pants.

I absolutely agree that Dance is for All. But maybe not dance competitions? And before you hit me with the whole "Strictly is an entertainment show, not a dance show", I agree that it is indeed an entertainment show. Which includes a dance competition. In the way X Factor features a "singing" competition (and most winners, have actually been able to sing, even if you would never in your right mind buy any of their music...).

Never seen it.

And she's never at the edge where the celebs and pro's stand, applauding their fellow contestants.

I've only ever seen a handful of people there - maybe half a dozen at a time.
I think it might be one of the 'spots' for the cameraman so space is at a premium?

You're free to disagree [Bbobajot][/b], but I REALLY resent your assertion that I would want older contestants in SCD so that they could made fun of. Pamela Stephenson has proved (although her use of gimmicks, time wasting walking and strutting is really beginning to annoy me) that is is possible to be 60 and dance WELL. Felicity Kendal hasn't danced as well but has shown incredible flexibility.

Cherie Lunghi in SCD2008 exuded sensuality at age 56 (I think) and I was enchanted by Gloria Hunniford's Waltz in SCD2005. Although I wouldn't mind the BBC getting rid of Brucie mind you

I will too - hey it worked against Lisa Snowden and this is an even more worthy cause. I don't think (i.e hope) it won't happen though.

Who can be bothered - I'm not sure I'd count what Ann's doing as dancing especially in the latin where she's admitted herself she isn't even going to try.

In fairness to her she said she liked Tina's charleston although she obviously didn't like her AT or the AT in general.

Whatever the outcome the BBC are going to have to change the name of this show - it is certainly not 'Strictly come Dancing' anymore!
