Do you think Simon chose Katie because he knew that Aiden was taking voters away from 1D and if he leaves, the voters would go to 1D?

I have to say, I have lose faith in this show with keeping Katie. Clearly there is manipulation going and this show has truly lose itself tonight.

If we are being real, Aiden did not deserved to be voted off and can tell Simon had other manipulative intentions with the whole thing.

Go Wagner if the show is going to be like this.

I think Simon chose Aiden because:

1. AIDEN WAS TERRIBLE IN THE SING-OFF!
2. He has a little crush on Cheryl.

Of cause it was tatical voting, he'd do it again as well

Aiden said on Xtra factor that he wants his voters to support Matt so if that was Simon's plan it failed.

yeh i am inclined to believe thats why he did as well, people who vote for katie are not going to vote for a boy band, two totally different cups of tea whereas aiden and 1d are similar in the sense they all males etc; its a hard thing to explain but yeh i agree.

Its obvious that he kept Katie so that there would only be one place left for the next sing-off, thus giving his precious one direction a better chance of staying.

Aiden went because he wasn't popular, and because Katie easily outsung him in the sing-off. Simple as that.

He might have less than Katie at that point of time, but as we all know from the years following XF the votes can be manipulated in so many ways, subtle ways!
Just rememebre Aiden was given all the first spots at the Show, Simon told him he is safe just to make his fans and him thinking he is safe, and so many more!
Aiden fate at XF has been sealed and decesion has been made the moment when it's been obvious that 1D have not been recieving as many votes as they need for the win.

That was my theory today : I predicted that Cowell wanted Aiden off the show in order that his votes transfer to 1D.

His seemingly innocuous comment that Aiden was safe was the death knell ie. he was telling people not to vote for him.
