Anyone else just getting to that stage now....
where you just don't care when Katie finally goes home
She's on the tour, so job done for her, Cowell and the execs For me it's just going to feel a bit hollow when there have been ample chances to send her packing, but they have found excuse after excuse to keep her in just get her on the tour and bent the rules more than once Please don't get me wrong, this is not another Katie dislike thread but just can't help feeling cheated that are plenty more acts who deserve the tour more than her, as she has had more than her fair share of fame already with her reality show and her attempt to crack America under different names |

Nah, I'm looking forward to seeing her on the tour. Aidan was a good singer but I don't think I'd enjoy him very much live.

In some way I rather like the idea that she is now so tied to the show, can't make any deals etc outside of it, for so many months. She's got to go on tour, knowing many people won't be best pleased to see her there. She can't reinvent herself and try another show/music career/casting couch for many many months. She'll have to drag her parents along to keep those nasty banana skins away. In so doing she'll cement whatever dislike and antipathy there is toward her.
Going to fun. Sure is. |

I'm getting to the stage where I want to campaign for a complete boycott of the whole bloody show. It's just pathetic. I feel like a knob even commenting on it, like the Cowell machine has pentrated my brain somehow.

... I've promised myself not to bother next year. The best possible protest would be in a low viewing figures and if the media were to refuse any more on what's become a joke of an entertainment programme. Not sure if that will happen though

Not sure if that will happen though ![]() Perhaps if someone was brave enough to put their head above the paraphet and say "this show looks tired and manipulated" Cowell might sit up and listen. I say might however as he seems to have lost all contact with the real world and public opinion of late and even "The Sun" turning against him probably wouldn't bother him. |

She couldn't even remember her words in half her auditions. She got through anyway. Then she is in the bottom 2 the MAJORITY of weeks, which leads me to think she has been the bottom act on more than one occasion (definitely last week!), and they save her every week. It is actually beyond a joke now.

Not sure if that will happen though ![]() I will keep voting this year in the hope that he wins or at least gets far enough to get a recording contract but after that I am done with it. I don't watch Big Brother or ICGMOOH or any of the other lowest common denominator TV - I think deep down I thought this was a talent show and clearly it isn't. It's not so much because Aiden and TreyC have gone (neither were going to win it), its just that the last 2 weeks have proved to me that Cowell can control the show and the editing, the staging, the running order etc to such an extent that he always gets what he wants Ultimately I am sure it will be a 1D and Rebecca final. Once Matt's out I won't watch again - but I'll keep voting till he is |

It;s only this year that I've stopped being entertained by it and started feeling so grrrr with it. It used to be a singing contest with the odd 'interesting' character along the way but when it came down to it, the right person always went or stayed. You could trust in the show and although, the more suspsious amongst us, could have debated it being fixed - there was no real need to because the judges were mostly fair and inline with public opinion. Now however, Simon has some alterior motive and some of the desicions that have been made, starting from the judges house stage have been seriously dubious. We are losing faith in it and in Cowell. They say that in business that you can't be liked and respected - well he's lost both of those things. Cowell considers himself to be above the show and above public opinion but I beleive that will be his fall from grace.

When we get back to voting for talent, taking the show seriously, them maybe Simon will give the viewers more respect...............voters can no longer be trusted to vote fairly, therein lies the problem |

Really, then why aren't you complaining about Wagner going on the tour? Does he deserve to still be there?
If the public are going to vote for silly acts, then why shouldn't Simon keep the act he prefers in spite of the viewers ![]() Because he has always said before that they are choosing an artist for the public and they're looking for someone who will sell records. It was never about Judges personal taste before. Otherwise why don't they just phone their votes through like everyone else. There's a campaign to keep Wagner in, he's made it to the tour, he could even win, but it's the voters who are doing this not Simon. I think keeping Wagner in is the reaction to Gamugate but as more and more people detect "fakeness and manipulation" the Wagner campaign gains votes. When we get back to voting for talent, taking the show seriously, them maybe Simon will give the viewers more respect...............voters can no longer be trusted to vote fairly, therein lies the problem |
