Ok I can't remember the exact quote, but he knew exactly what he was doing by making that comment.

Simon loves his reverse-psychology.

It isn't working on the mighty Wagner yet though.

People said that Paije was the fall guy this week, but it was clearly Aiden, who Simon saw as much more of a threat. By putting Paije on first, then really criticising him, he knew that Paije's more casual fans would pick up the phone to vote. By putting Aiden on second and telling him he would be fine, there was no other outcome that could have happened.

It's the thing that upsets me most about the whole thing; how easy it is to get rid of someone who clearly wasn't ready to go yet.

We need to watch out for these tricks next week and beat him at his own game!

To be honest, I'm not going to watch next week, and probably not until the final. I'll watch Matt's performances on YouTube, but that's it. I'm certainly not throwing any more money at this machine. It's gone too far this time.

agree i have also being saying this the man is such a manipulating liar, what has happend is exactly what he set out to do all along, unfortunately people fell for his lies.(no wonder he is so rich and powerful his manipulation and lies help him make that fortune) i actually voted for Aiden for this week as i could see what he was trying to do, and others did also unfortunately it didnt work "apparently he got the lowest votes.

I think a lot of people did - but many more were conmcerned for Paige and voted for him - I certainly did - much as though I like Paige if I'd known then what I know now I wouldn't have done it - I'd have thrown all the votes at Aiden - the annoying thing is that its so obvous in retrospect - why would Cowell care about Paige - he's not competition for his boys!

I voted for them both, always do but will be keeping a closer eye on Simon next week. I blame Wagner for distracting me!

Simon just got it wrong. He thought he would be getting rid of Paije but it back fired on him because he didnt get the outcome he wanted.

ARGH, CONSPIRACY. EVIL MASTERMIND!!!!!!! BLAHHHHHHHHHHHH

Your conspiracy theories are hilariously ludicrious. Aiden went because he was terrible in the main shows, and terrible in the sing-off. And because no one voted for him. He wasn't popular, and he wasn't good.

It's not some massive anti-Matt conspiracy. One Direction won't get Aiden's votes, they don't need Aiden's votes – and there aren't very many of them to get anyway.

He wasnt popular but oh man he was good.

The British public are mainstream and pathetic. The vote Tory and 1D and Joe. They buy Westlife and think that is good music.

Aiden was left-field, a rebel and defined coolness. In a show where the word unique was bandied around such that its no longer got any meaning, Aiden was truly unique for the show. So fck the haterz. Fck the show. And fck the GBP.

The mainstream public deserve the mainstream bullcrap that they get.

I wouldn't worry too much, I am sure someone is gearing up to grab Aiden and turn him into a class singer - he does have a unique style that will sell.

We of course, will end up with the pap that XF leaves us with. I hope to see Matt and Rebecca out next - they are way too good for this circus - the rest can stay and play all they like. You get what you deserve - make sure Simon get's it will you?!

No, he wasn't. If he was the public would've voted for him. His sing-off was absolutely horrific, even though Katie should've been voted off instead.

Okay, you do realise that he couldn't actually sing? I like the guy, & I wish they'd kept him over Katie, but he was pretty much constantly tuneless & flat.

So you think that because of whatever his comment, that is why Aiden didn't get votes?!
And people wonder why the UK are seen as stupid!!!
If people wanted to vote, they would .... regardless of the comments.... isn't that personal opinion!
All because someone got voted out! People take this way too seriously .... it is an entertainment programme that HAS to follow the rules! No more no less!

Ok I can't remember the exact quote, but he knew exactly what he was doing by making that comment.
