Bottom 2 credibility
I was dissapointed with the bottom 2 as Aiden was growing on me week in week out. He clearly has great taste aswell singing Crowded house and I loved his rocketman performance. He clearly knew what and how he wanted to sing and probably knew that it wouldn't win him the show but he didn't let that move him from his style and principles.
Katie I've liked but her songs given to her by Cheryl have been getting worse and worse and worse. In the sing off she was spectacularly good on Sunday. I think any artists who have any shred of musical taste or any desire to maintain credibility whatsoever should give the X Factor a wide berth. Matt started off with credibility but seemingly has not resisted being turned into a far wetter and more pathetic and whiny (I never thought this possible) version of James Blunt. Rebecca has a nice tone but is given bland and boring songs and seems happy to go along with it. I think the X Factor audience only responds to bland and dull mainstream and "novelty acts". Mind I suppose these are the same people who buy Westlife and Take That records. |
