Well, after a weekend away visiting the aged parent i have caught up the thread and finally watched the show.
Aiden wasn't great in terms of vocal perfection, but he is very original and I quite liked his version. For me he came somewhere in the middle.
My nerves always get in the way when I hear matt, particularly if i am as familiar with the orginal as I am with GYBR. But after a few listens i have decided he was brilliant

. Not as brilliant as last week or Britney week but brilliant nonetheless. I particularly liked that we could hear his lower register more and the odd growl
I have a sneaking liking for the Wands this week. I know the backing track was loud for the chorus but it wasn't there for the verses. Harry has a great voice (if I were 16 I would luurrve Harry), i hope they use it more. What is the point of Zain? He really is shocking - funny that his second lot of wailing had the mike turned right down.
The worst?
Katie just couldn't sing that song, but did "perform" it ok.
Mary - I have to agree with Simon

pub singer
Wagner - didn't really watch, just no point in him at all
Paige - weak vocally (he can't mime either!)
OK?
Rebecca i suppose but BORING!! Still got that broom up her jaxi stopping her moving around
Cher was OK, thought she was better singing than rapping
So, unbelievably i thought Matt was best followed by Wands. Couldn't even get a vote in for Matt this week due to ridiculous train problems getting home.
Oh and the Hat coming back for the group song! yayy!!
Was interesting in the results (or was it Xtra factor - yes, it must have been), when Simon said that there were one or two surprises tonight and he didn't just mean the bottom two. Did he mean in the rest of the voting? Hmmmmm (rubs chin).
Matt's reaction when he got through was interesting - pent up tension after the days news? The knowledge that he would now go on the tour (yay, I have tickets - Wagner and Katie as well though - boo)? Or just sheer relief? Who knows?
I read the NOTW story on the train (after someone left a copy behind, wouldn't have added to their coffers). In the words of Catherine Tate "What a load of old $h!t". Just wish I'd encountered someone who could manage 7 times a day

. Loved the comment from x factor that they hoped she now had the value of the tickets reimbursed from selling her story - shows what value they put on it. (I hope he is getting some whilst in the house (not Katie tho), all that frustration wouldn't do him much good otherwise, I just don't want to hear about it

)
So onwards and upwards - what's this weeks theme?
BTW - what is a horny black toad?
