I loved it, and voted for them, but thought Kara stole the show (voted for her too - and Gavin)

You have to realise though that being a public forum, everybody else is entitled to say their piece too and the main quality you need is a thick skin because they won't all agree with what you said just because you feel strongly about it.

Keeeeeeeeeeeep posting ”

It is true and I have shown courage to say that. All hat to me to air it out.

Agreed, I havnt read many comments that people think Scott is gonna win. I've read Hundreds about matt having it in the bag. I just hope the best 3 get to the final then they can battle it out.

You can't be upset now. He has probably learned it from you in the past.

I was blown away.

I've been away for a month and have just sat through the last 4 weeks' shows in one monster Strictly marathon and ... I agree that Kara's paso and argentine tango were great, but that jive was just incredible.

As soon as he started, he looked like he'd been jiving for years. I actually had shivers and I do not fancy him, nor do I like Natalie (at all!)

I just thought it was fantastic. Honestly, I'm going to have to watch Jill Halpenny's again to see if it's any better but this was a rare masterpiece of a dance. Both couples were unlucky to have another incredible dance in the same episode. We could be in for an amazing series this year.

I suspect part of the reason Jill's Jive created such a buzz was because it was the first dance of such high quality that we'd seen on Strictly, and certainly the first outstanding Jive.

If the performances were reveresed, I'm sure we'd be asking ourselves if Jill's Jive was as good as what Scott did!

I do believe that the more series that pass, the harder it becomes for couples to produce truly memorable dances - because they are competing with so many Strictly memories already. It's as if they have to produce something even more special to create the same buzz as what preceded them.

I did and (apologies to Jill and her fans) I thought it looked jaded in comparison but that may be because Scott's is newer.
There is also the fact that I was comparing a male dancer to a female and Jill was in the Tower Ballroom in a bigger space than Scott so she had a larger area to use up.

It was a fantastic jive. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Kara's AT was superb, too. Of course, it's almost impossible to compare such different dances, expressing such different emotions, so people are bound to favour one over the other. Not that I could!

Not only was the audience reaction fantastic, but did you see Kara mouthing 'Amazing' over the balcony as all the celebs and pros applauded? And, for the second time dancing with Scott, Natalie was genuinely moved by the sheer joy of dancing such a wonderful dance. Says it all, really, when the pro can be that affected.

I am thoroughly enjoying this series. It's still anyone's glitterball, though. Great entertainment!

Generally I think jives are over-marked, as are couples who dance last. We've seen it all before. Yawn.

I loved this jive (and Kara's A/T) and the music was perfect - a clever choice with the title "Hit the Road Jack"

Thanks for the reminder - I just looked at them both again. Oh wow - what a treat it is to have YouTube! Seriously, both great dances. I'm no expert, but I'd say Jill was sharper in her footwork and arm placement, while Scott was more energetic. The choreography in both was great, but I loved the story in Natalie's jive. You're right - I've watched that jive of Jill and Darren's so often that Scott and Natalie's is all fresh and lovely by comparison. But certainly they are on a par with each other.

I loved Scott's jive. I've been humming his song since. It was a routine that made me sit up in my seat and was probably the first routine this series that has made me say Wow! I was smiling along and wanted to join in. Other routines have made me smile and be interested and think they were great but this routine had the edge for me.
If Scott makes it to the stage where they repeat dances to different choreography and music, I would suggest another jive tune which is called Jack is back and continue the storyline!
(as an aside I don't watch EastEnders but is Scott's character called Jack in that?)

Natalie's choreography was amazing, as per usual.

She outdanced him a tiny bit, but overall I loved it. Kara's dance was a lot more difficult, mind. I'd have placed them joint top.

I agree. The props brought it down for me, that ridiculous door meant we barely saw Scott and Natalie dance together. Yes, he is a good dancer, but he's yet to put in a performance that made me go 'wow'.

Kara stole the show on Saturday and should have been top of the leaderboard - if Scott's jive was truly worth 39, Kara should have had 40. But seeing as I think Kara was fairly marked, Scott should have had 35 or 36. Then again every week except the rumba I've thought he's been overmarked, so nothing new there!

It never fails to amaze me that we all sit and watch the same dance, yet see entirely different things. The dance lasts 90 seconds and Natalie was behind the door for about 10 of those seconds, while Scott did jive steps on his own - oh, and about 4 seconds right at the end. How does that equate to 'barely dancing together'? It's fine to have an opinion, but at least let it be an truthful one.

So happy to see this thread and that Natalie is at last being recognised for her great choreography. Loved her and Ricky last year and now she has done it again.

What a team her and Scott are I have enjoyed all their dances but Saturday as others have said - I could not stop smiling. It had the wow facture, the timing was great the song the lot. Cannot stop watching. The dance of the night (although I loved Kara's).
Long time since I heard an audience reaction like that

Scott and Natalie are one of the couples who brought back my Strictly love and Saturday's Jive kicked it up more than a few gears. I loved it. I'm a diehard Jill Halfpenny fan and no Jive has matched up to hers for me but Scott and Natalie's comes damn close. I don't care about comparisons because of male and female celebrities, time's past, different music, props, etc. Very happy it was the last dance and the show ended as it did, brilliantly.

I did love Scott's dance on Saturday, certainly his best so far didn't think it was worth 39 though and no where near as good as Halfpenny !

But no-one's as good as the mighty Halfpenny, as one poster described her. It was years ago and people forget. And we have new devotees since then. On one thread there was a naming of great Paso's as it's one of the most difficult dances to do and few celebrities have done it really well and hers wasn't even mentioned. Scott and Natalie pulled it out of the bag on Saturday and he should get his due without having to be compared to Jill Halfpenny.
