What a sleuth!
Yes - another element combining to make a well thought out routine - story, performance, energy - FABULOUS

I know.
That's the reason I was reluctant to post initially - I didn't want my bubble burst.

Fair enough if you differ in your opinion but some people aren't content with that and resort to exaggeration in order to make their criticism valid.

Live and let live - perhaps your fav will have the dance of the night another week.

You are not alone OP. I couldn't stop watching their dance. The music,Scott and Natalie, choreography everything was fantastic. There was some magic in it. I actually started to dance while watching their dance.

Scott is definitely starting to win me over. I'm still in the Kara camp at the minute but he's now well ahead of Matt. Scott's had a couple of memorable dances - I wouldn't mind him winning. The jive was a delight.

The jive was a delight. A comedy routine with genuine wit that didn't rely on getting laughs from someone being bad? Bliss.

Edit: Didn't mean to repeat you, tabitha!

and the audience went crazy for it

I'm firmly in both camps. What would I do if they both got to the final? Love it!

Don't think Matt is being edited very well, have to say. BBC should sack Moira Ross who is engineering Scott to get the marks he has. They are con artists in making us believe Scott is that good. Scott I'm afraid to say isn't my cup of tea, sorry.

Well excuse me for being distracted by the prop for longer than it may actually have been in use! It seemed to me like Natalie was behind the door for quite a while, and it seemed pointless and affected my enjoyment of the rest of the dance. Maybe saying Natalie and Scott hardly danced together was a bit of an exaggeration, but they weren't dancing continuously with each other, so it didn't feel like a proper dance to me half the time.

Compare it to Jill's jive. I'm no real fan of Jill and Darren from what I've seen on YT, but that was 1 minute 30 seconds of proper jive, letting the excitement and energy build up so the whole performance could be enjoyed. The use of props in Scott's dance, both door and suitcase, interrupted the flow and I thought it was to the detriment of the dance.

Matt is really talented. He dances well, so far not a 'ten' dance yet but it's fine. Monkseal et al. think the producers are making him into the Tom Chambers, Chris Hollins, Mark Ramprakash kinda guy, i.e. eventual winner sort of guy and that delayed 'ten' thingie is just to give him the impression he's also on a journey. That said, Matt has yet done a dance worth a ten. His time will come, but I would rather it be later rather than earlier. Methinks he's going to get one in Blackpool though...

Scott may not be as talented as Matt, but he worked really, really hard (not to say Matt's not working hard) and he does PERFORM his dance better than Matt (except his horrible rhumba, which I can't abide, watched it once and that's enough!) most of the time, so thus far I don't see why he should not be praised for his efforts.

I loved it. I think it was very well loved, one of the best dances of the night.

I think depending on the dance on the night, it's between matt, kara or Scott, though IMO matt has lost the edge slightly in the pat couple of dances, but there's plenty of time for him to re-gain lost ground. Ultimately, i wouldn't feel robbed if any of the above lifted theglitterball.

As for Scott's jive, even to my untrained eye, some of the kicks and flicks didn't look too sharp, but the fact that he was left to dance for a short while on his own, let him as the competitor shine. The energy was fantastic in it. The choice of music was excellent. I'm not a big fan of props, mostly because they don't seem to fit with the song and seem to be a way of using up time, but the prop scenes didn't use up toomuch time and they added a fun element to the dance, particularly the final 10 seconds.

Not a 10 ofr technique, but a 10 for every other element. Absolutely cracking

If Scott makes it to the stage where they repeat dances to different choreography and music, I would suggest another jive tune which is called Jack is back and continue the storyline!

sorry to quote myself but, as I said, it was the perfect choice for the jive and how about "Jumping Jack Flash" for another dance

yes, Scott's character is called "Jack" and he got married last Friday

[quote=Tall Paul;45691832][quote=Jan2555*GG*;45690448]You are definitely delusional. Be as obsessed as you like about Matt (or is it Aliona) but trying to persuade yourself that 39 points is sympathy marking is frankly nuts.....almost as nuts as 'The BBC hate Matt and dont want him to win' theory that you put forward yesterday.

Just my opinion, thats all next time I will just shut up about the whole damn thuing. If you were in my situation and was autistic and had Aspergers Syndrome you would say delusional stuff. Rest my case.”

With all due respect Tall Paul, Autism and Asperger's syndrome are not classed as delusional disorders and delusions are not in the myriad of recognised symptoms/signs/characteristics of either Autism or Aspergers.

I adored Scott's jive. I thought it was really joyful and energetic. Well deserved the 10's IMO. I also loved Kara's AT. Both are my favourites.

ACTUALLY Tall Paul my 17 year old son has Aspergers and I am very familiar with its symptoms and difficulties........but how can I be 'understanding' when I dont know you and am not a mind reader. When you post on a public forum not everyone is going to agree with you ..............particularly when you make rather left of field remarks and if there is anything I have learnt from my son and his problems its that he would never want to be treated as being in anyway different from anyone else. So I tell you what Tall Paul I will not comment specifically on anything you say from now on...how about that.

You've hit the nail on the head there. If only Matt realised that the judges are doing him an favour for not giving him an 10.

Imagine being an good dancer from the start of the show and to continually get a 10 for the mediocre performances in the last couple of weeks by Matt would certainly turn the viewers off.

If he now comes back with a great dance, it will be moment for him and he could possibly get the first 40 of the series.

So please Matt do us favour and shut up about your lack of 10’s, until you do a performance worthy of it.

Just adding my support for Scott's fantastic jive
I thought he was completly deserving of his score, I loved the song choice, the story and even the door!

I feel as if I am missing out on the best party in town

I try very hard but just don't like his Latin (though the ballroom dances are wonderful). I can watch and know that I should be enjoying it but it just doesn't happen.

Scott's jive was by far the best in the series so far for me. I watched it again and again. It had personality, acting, great dancing and a full-on joyfulness.

I agree with everything Lilia said. Scott and Kara were in a different league to everyone else last weekend.

It happens all the time starpuss, there were a lot of other performances that people loved and I didn't. Sometimes it's about personal taste.

Did you like Kara's amazing AT?
