Just seen this on Ideal World, it looks quite good but is it just an expensive slow cooker?

Anyone got one?

I don't have the room or the need for any more kitchen gadgets, but if I did, I might be persuaded to at least try it by some of the comments on amazon.

If my slowcooker could also do rice, pasta, cakes and fry stuff, I'm sure I would use it more often.

It looks good, if you are going to use all the functions. the one thing we are not told about all these gadgets is how much power will they use compared to conventional methods

i got enough stuff in the kitchen, with my halogen Oven, from Ideal world, my Induction hob, the George Foreman grill, my two coffee makers, the juicer, which I have not used for a long time and my bread maker.

One thing I have not got any more is a Microwave, chucked it outside the door last week

You don't need masses of gadgets to produce wonderful food, basics like a four rin stove and a pressure cooker are a good start although if you can afford it then indulge yourself, I love my 6 burner gas stove with Wok and griddle burners but don't really need it. My industrial Salamander grill is simply fab but a bit OTT for cheese on toast and my £2 Ibrik makes coffee easily as good as my Lavazza machine. Look at what you need and can afford.
