Beatles catalogue now on I-Tunes.
A surprise. Was available from 3pm. Will any songs chart on Sunday then?

Is this just iTunes?
Or will their songs be downloadable elsewhere in MP3 format? |

Wow, I only read a news report they were in talks at about lunchtime
![]() http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-11763650 Loving Steve Job's pun: Apple chief executive and Beatles fan Steve Jobs said it had "been a long and winding road to get here". |

So that's what this 'special announcement' was that iTunes said about yesterday.

Isn't a charity shop the best place to buy over-rated bland old music?!

The Beatles will be remembered for a very long time unlike most of today's music. They are NOT over-rated and certainly NOT bland, The Beatles are and always will be The Best. |

If by trolling, you mean encouraging people to give their money to a charity shop rather than McCartney and Steve Jobs, then perhaps yes.

I think mostly everyone has the beatles songs now and plus the albums are pretty expensive especially the white album. |

I'm not the biggest Beatles fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I can still recognise their talent and popularity as one of the first pop music bands in the mainstream. I have the album '1' which has got some of the best singles of it's decade.
I do feel it is nice that their music has finally been put on iTunes after all this time, albeit at extortionate prices. |

Amazon CD price: £7.99 iTunes UK says albums £10.99; double albums £17.99; the lot (Box Set) £125. So £3 excess for the albums but these days a lot of people don't want physical product. Sadly. |
