Stunning news that Digital Spy is about MONEY and not actually care in the (online) community?

Well of course he does, he owns the show and co-produces it. I wouldn't expect him to be kept in the dark.

He had $elflessly hired three of th greatest mu$ical icons of our day and age, Loui$ with hi$ invaluable experti$e, Cheryl who$ been down thi$ road and can really connect with the act$, and Dannii, who has been one of this country$ bigge$t $tar$.

Xfactor really is a busted flush with all the drip-drip against it this year.

XFactor 2011 is going to have to be very very different - and Cowell surely has to become an impartial (non-mentor) judge to restore some semblance of integrity to the show.

Once the public at large feel the show is just one huge manipulation the show is finished.

Though it shows you that his all knowing music guru status is a facade.Imagine if he hadn't a clue what way the voting was going....he would be making a total fool of himself every week with his comments (he's already doing that mind you).

Viewing figures are at record levels, thats not a busted flush, thats the show doing exactly what it was designed to do.

Next year will be like this year, except more so.

Its only 'failed' if you think its a fair competition rather than a manipulated entertainment show.

Jesus this is a startling revelation. What? You mean they ask people for 1.50 a call just to give to children starving?

Didnt you notice when the £££££££ 's started rolling in his eyes when people such as Leona Lewis walk into the audition.

He doesnt think "now thats a talent, I can change her life for the better"

He thinks "$£$$££££££$$$$£$£"

There are 4 stages to Cowells business plan:

1. The first stage occurs at the audition stage, where Cowell encourages people to mock the mentally ill and those with learning difficulties (similar to Jeremy Kyle) and all in the name of light entertainment.

2. Stage two is the sob stories stage where Cowell and the other judges build up potential winners and pretend to be amazed by their auditions, despite having seen them perform several times previously, off camera. Talent plays second fiddle to sob stories and image. It’s all about marketability. He’ll set up stories for the underdog, the girls vote, the boys vote, the granny vote and usually chuck in someone for people to hate too. These are really all just characters in a huge Cowell production!

3. Stage three is the fabrication stage. Cowell garners publicity by making up numerous stories about the panel and how they are working together. We will hear things such as two of them secretly hating each other, or that one contestant uses auto tune, or whatever else he thinks up. It is also the stage where he will welcome any tabloid press about the contestants lives- something he will criticise them for doing later on. It turns out a lot of them were already in the media spotlight all along, surprise surprise!

4. Stage four is the final stage. It’s where Cowell starts to prepare his winner. At this stage, they’ve usually already lost any uniqueness they previously had, as they slowly start to morph into Simons brand of schmaltzy, middle of the road pop that he can attempt to sell to us, or failing that, sell to the Americans (because they like that kind of thing).

Yes, yes everyone - its GREAT news to us on here, not, but for people outside the DS fishbowl these revelations may be news.

Charlottesweb, yes but there have never been as many revelations to the general public about the show as this year, and only really in the last 2-3 weeks too. We on DS are much more informed than the 17 million who watch the show and know the whole thing is staged/fixed. However, the 17m dont and the stories recently about fix this, fix that and the blatant favouritism may lead to good viewing figures this year but trust me the golden goose is getting, er, goosed.

I dont think the public have been quite as informed as to how the show really works as they have this year - and viewing figures may stay high but the number of votes may plummet if people feel its all a waste of time to vote and pre-ordained - this will hit Cowell in the pocket directly.

I still maintain the show will change alot next year.
