No....its only ever speculation really........each week you can only know who has got more votes than the people who were eliminated (all those below the eliminated couple on the leaderboard) otherwise its pure speculation.

Youre right on that account and I apologise for some of the things I said on other threads. So can we call it done and dusted sotus speak? and move on.

In every year I've lurked on this forum, I've always found the favourite couple polls to be pretty damn accurate. This year is the first time that a very unpopular couple on here is so very popular with the general public. But every previous year I've been on here (since series 5 I think) the eventual winner, taking account of shock eliminations of favourites on here due to the dance-off, was a top poller in this forum.

I think Ann and Gavin at this stage.

I used to think I could more or less tell by the order in which they read the names out - but I think that was self-delusion really.

Wouldn't dispute that at all.

Yes I said that was fine.......this post is just a reply to your question.

This week we'll have a clearer indication when we see who's in the bottom two with Felicity.

Yes thats very true.....now Michelle has gone it will be interesting to see who fills her spot in the bottom two as she was pretty much a fixture before she left.

The leaderboard is going to be very important this week.

I am hearing Matt is most popular, followed by Scott then Ann

I would imagine Felicity could be struggling for support as she has been bottom two twice

I read that somewhere too and that if Ann was in the bottom 2 with Kara (semi's) then Kara would be going home, but that is only if the people that have left already's voters don't vote for a dancer as opposed to a supposed entertainer.

That's interesting. I did wonder how similar or otherwise they were compared to the phone vote. This is the first year I have been on hear but I know the Dancing On Ice Poll on here earlier this year wasn't very accurate.

I have noticed that Kara is most popular on the favourite poll on here overtaking Matt for the 1st time.

The last few years on DS a lot of polls across all sorts of programmes have been well out on eventual winners. DS isnt as in touch as it used to be. But then I think DS is now more open to influence.

2 people will be eliminated in the semis, so they'd both go.

The postulated figures I saw suggested Matt was topping the public vote , then Ann , followed by Kara and Scott , but who knows .

Anything goes , more this year than ever .

I wonder how much of this discussion will end up in the Daily Mirror as fact.

In general, in my experience the SCD DS polls are pretty accurate, although I don't remember John Sergeant getting as many votes as Ann is getting in the Favourite poll.

To be honest before this week. I would say Matt and Ann would be leading the votes.

Then perhaps followed by Gavin, Patsy and Pemale

But I think if Scott and Kara continue to perform like last week, they should pick up more votes.

Ok what I meant was that if Kara was against Ann in then Kara would go. After this weekend that would be a travesty though as she was brilliant.

Lets hope that by the time that possible situation arises the GBP have woken up, because we are now getting to the stage in the competion where we may lose good dancers before Ann !!!! That also would be a travesty !!

That's the way it is with Strictly so it would be nothing new. John was apparently miles ahead in the voting and may well have won had he not bowed out (well there was the dance off back then so who knows) and who's to say it isn't the same with Ann.

I'm no Ann fan, but I am a lot mellower these days and don't take the show anywhere nearly as serious as I used to and will quite readily accept that if Ann polls the most votes she deserves to win.

The bookies odds are generally a fair reflection of the voting, they have Matt as the strong favourite at 6/4.
Scott is second favourite at 9/4, Kara is best priced at 5-1.
Ann is available at 8-1, then quite a gap to Pamela at 18/1.
Gavin can still be bet at 33/1 in a few places, with Patsy at 80/1 and Felicity at 100/1.
So, if that's a reasonable indication of the voting, we could see at least four more departures before Ann leaves..and there is even a possibilty that she could outlast Kara ! It all depends on the switch voters, will they come out in force with "anti-Ann" votes after their favourite has left the show ?
I don't think there is any danger for Matt and Scott, they are both extremely popular with the usual SCD fans, who still make up the majority of the voters.

Not always. The bookies were very late to pick up on Chris as the winner last year, which is why some of us made a ton of money.

The bookies odds reflect where the money is placed rather than public support, although usually it's linked.
