Had a clean out of a drawer at the weekend and found a wooden paddle type thing with holes in - apparently it measures spaghetti for 2, 3 or 4 people.
Tried it. RUBBISH ... I judge it better myself. WHY!!!!! What do you have that you wished didn't take up space in your wonderful kitchen

She takes up space in my kitchen when I am trying to cook though!!
Other than that, I have a Bosch Tassimo coffee machine sitting redundantly. The novelty wore off about 2 days after I bought it. |

A rice cooker. Went through a phase for about 4 weeks of making sushi rolls and since then it's just sat there doing crap all...

Garlic press - decent brand too. It all gunges up inside. Faster just to chop it.

A contraption to whip cream. Basically a plastic tube with some kind of plunger with little holes in it.
Bought it from a market stall from a Dell Boy type. Looked very impressive and quick. But it was rubbish. |

A Delongi (sp) smoothie maker which was pants. It was actually hard work to use it, and the washing up was incredible.
I think i used it 3 times. |

Someone gave me a soup maker - I can make it quicker and better with less washing up by using a saucepan and blender. Complete waste of space.

A potato ricer - riced potato gets cold too quickly and I'd rather mash it in the pan - less washing up and keeps it warm.

A husband (never bought him), he bought a contraption to boil eggs to add to my many useless objects that are never used in my kitchen! How hard is it to boil eggs in a pan!

Um, where to start my list
potato ricer juicer pasta machine rice steamer but first prize goes to ... a canopy maker - Yes! I know!! (for those who can't get their head around this one, it's a bit like a breville toastie gizmo, but you put little balls of pastry into it, put lid down and, voila, little cooked pastry shells ready for filling of choice) |

![]() ![]() ![]() Well not soft boiled, anyway - they're either too runny or else hard boiled! My useless gadget was a doughnut maker - used it once and eventually gave it away! |

Rice cooker for me too.
I don't know if its just the make - but it struggles to cook a single portion nicely and there seems to be no way of telling it what sort of rice/other grain it has in it. I've gone back to using the steamer now

One of those mandalin type slicers from the market. The guy made it look dead easy.
Garlic press, leaves too much waste. Foreman grill, its OK but a pain to clean and I got a griddle pan know and I prefer it. Edit - And a juicer. Couldn't do cirtus fruit and a pain to clean. BTW, Love my rice maker, also makes other pulse and grain based dishes. |

Useless for me would be one of those choppy things that you push down the top quickly and its meant to finally dice something like garlic.....never worked and hideous to clean. |
