She was certainly lucky to get 2 x 9s last night!

Aliona does not always do this, and this is why she comes in for criticism.”

Anne Widdecombe has shown the importance of the telephone vote and the viewers voting at home will not be as worried about not sticking to the rules and it might even encourage them to vote if one of the judges marks them down because of a minor breach of the rules.

I agree - I was talking from the point of view of people like myself who have previously watched for the dancing.

It's an entertainment show now, you know

.................”

tangoqueen, I agree 100% with this post, which I haven't quoted in full but which says everything I would want to say about the comparative approaches of Natalie and Aliona.

Hi Laura

Yes I agree with all this. I was in Blackpool last weekend and was queing up for the SCD coach to arrive at the tower ballroom. Natalie along with Brendon and Vincent was the most friendly to the crowd - whereas the other pros just walked into the ballroom (I appreciate some people are more tired after a long journey than others)
There was a lady near the front in a wheelchair and Natalie leaned over to speak to her and give her a kiss. I understand that she did this on the celeb tour last year as well.
She was a really lovely person and she is an amazing dancer and teacher.

She got Scott (not a pre show fave) and will probably get to the fial with him if he can have a few days to recharge his batteries!”

I think she's been lucky in that innate ability is either there or it isn't and had she had someone like Jimi, while she may have got good technique out of him, she wouldn't have been able to make him into a Ricky or a Scott because he doesn't have the tools that they do.
