Well a bully is somebody who singles somebody out and constantly tries to grind them down and put them down incessantly.

I think he's trying to bully Lembit, but I think that so far Lembit is doing a pretty good job of soaking it up.
Lembit was an MP for goodness sake and they have only been in there a few days.
I have no doubt Nigel could never bully Lembit.
They are mealy getting on each others nerves.
I think we will see a lot more of it from a few others in time.
But to call someone a bully this soon is a bit OTT in my opinion.
Give them time to settle.

So?

You do realise that MP's have the best part of a thousand letters/e-mails or phone calls a week asking for help from their constituents?

Nigel is an ass and just stop picking on the others.
He should take an example from the young Aggro who told straight "if you cant stand the heat get out of the kitchen".

Im no fan of Lembit Toothpick but i thought Havers constant haranguing and baiting him was tantamount to bullying..i thought the man had more class.
love Aggro..what a nice guy.

Three instances taken from 72 hours of footage hardly counts as constant

Nigel thinks he's superior to the rest of them and is really getting on my nerves.I don't much like Lembit, but he is entitled to his opinion, same as Nigel. Nigel is definately a bully, but does it in a sly way.
Totally agree- He'll give Lembit a slap, what a joke. Lembit could wrap those skinny little legs of his round his neck like a cravat. Can't stand the arrogant, moaning, old git

What's worse than a posh bully?

A weak, manipulative posor a starth bully who woes all the ladies.
Spot on- Can't understand what any lady would see in him though. Thinks he's a real charmer. Those leering, beady eyes of his would put you off for a start.

Hes very stuck up. And i dont know why because he only had a weeks worth in corrie and all i know him from is them Arthur Llwelyn Jenkins adverts lol! The moment he got in there he wanted to be put with bigger celebs. See how he gravitated towards Britt because she was probably the most famous?
Same thing happened with Vinnie Jones on celeb Big brother he thought he was way to famous for it and anyone who wasnt famous he would put down.
If he carrys on it wont do his career any favours.

He was quite a big star back in the day! Look him up on IMdB
I remember he starred in a sit com in the 70s I think it was ... and was very well known. However, that doesn't excuse his bad temper. I don't blame him (I'd want to deck Limpit and Linford if I had to put up with them 24/7) but it's not wise of him to let it show to that extent. And from the beginning, before anyone had a chance to know each other. He just seems a very intolerant sort of guy. And don't you just know he'll be smarmy and flirty with all the women!

No he is a bully for the simple fact he picks at someone who will not fight back.

All you people rolling your eyes because you think believe bullying has to be some horrendous torture have no clue what you're on about.

Don't you think Lembit has more reason to want to deck Nigel?

You don't no it till you've lived it.
That is NOT bullying.
It's just someone being a misery and unpleasant .
2 or 3 instances out of how many days ?
Why does there always have to be people jumping on the bullying bandwagon?
Bullying is a terrible thing.
Please don't down grade it to this, to someone being a bit unpleasant to someone else.
A Bully and to be Bullied is so much worse.
So much more serious .
Don't trivialise it .
Believe me if Nigel wanted to Bully anyone you wouldn't even see him do it.
Cameras or not.

I think Nigel is there because he desperately needs the money. He's obviously hating every second, and Lembit is the easiest target for his frustration, because Nigel knows he won't bite back. This frustrates Nigel even more, because it seems that Lembit really isn't bothered. It's a vicious cycle, and Nigel will probably end up having a stroke. I used to love Nigel Havers, was a big fan of Don't Wait Up and The Charmer, but this latest performance has changed that completely.

Just had to reply. Bullying is not only physical, so many people fail to understand this. Verbal assault can be just as effective as physical, it has the same damaging effect on the psyche. Who knows how Lembit feels deep inside? Just because it does not leave a physical mark does not negate the effects. Tell the numerous children who suffer verbal abuse at home and school on a daily basis that they are not being bullied. Verbal aggression is so much harder to rectify, that's why it's so popular. And as I said before, NIgels behaviour is not seen as bullying, because it's an acceptable norm these days. There are many Nigels out there.

You seem to think Lembit is a harmless old duffer, he's an ex-MP, he's heard worse abuse on the hustings than Nigel can dish up. Politicians have to have the hide of a rhino to survive so he is not some sensitive flower.

Bullying comes in different levels but even at its most subtle, you can't call Nigel a bully, he's just a grumpy old actor who doesn't like Lembit. We all have people we don't like and that's just how life is, the trouble is Nigel can't get away from him.

We all have to be around people we don't like at some point, but some of us are more mature and rational in how we handle these situations.

I can hardly believe a weedy elderly man is being accused of bullying another grown man, just because he asked him to stop sharpening a stick.

Some people need to get a grip.

Lemsip was an MP for 13 years fgs, a man (or wimp) of the world.
He has a hide as thick as a Rhino's - like most MPs'
I'm sure he's more than capable of telling Nigel to shut the f up, if he's annoyed.

Seems to me that if someone looks at someone else the wrong way lately the pc people starting screaming "bully".

I wouldn't describe Nigel as a bully, but he definitely thinks he's better than the others, specifically Lembik and thinks that it's acceptable to put him down, and is arrogant enough to presume that people will take his side. He presumes that Lembik won't be popular and so he's an easy target.

Personally, I think he's underestimated Lembik and the general public. Lembik can be a bit of a prat, but he's clearly not stupid, and he's not going to be intimidated by a jumped up actor. He's making out that spending time in the jungle with lowly celebs is below him. He was only ever an actor - not conducting medical research!

If Nigel doesn't get a grip once the camps merge, he could come in for quite a shock when he leaves.

I also think it's worth noting that just because the "victim" is strong enough to ignore persistent jibes, it doesn't make it OK. Nigel isn't having friendly banter, he's trying to put down another man.

Those that are of a similar temperament to Nigel will find it much harder to see anything wrong in his behaviour. If you work in a profession where colleagues constantly harangue one another, does that make it ok?

Nigel has good reason for thinking he's superior.
He is superior.
Certainly to the minor celeb has-beens he's surrounded by.
Simple really.
