Good old Steve Brookstein (however did he win!) seems to reckon they are waiting for Wagner to be in the bottom 3 before they do the double eviction - and that way they can be sure to rid of him. Makes sense!
And he also reckons Mary could go this week. Listening back looks like he has got it kind of right almost every week so far.

Considering they announce the double eviction BEFORE the lines close .... I doubt that is so.

Steve's very tight with Simon Cowell so I assume he does.

He's talking rubbish. Dermot is always very clear to announce before the voting lines open if it will be a single or double eviction. They would be in a whole lot of trouble if they didn't announce that it was a double eviction until just before he read out the results.

If they were that desperate to get rid of Wagner, they wouldn't give him pimp slots every week, give him the most well known songs every week with big productions and would actually mention his total lack of talent. No need to resort to fraud to get him out.

I think the lack of double eliminations was 1) because they wanted to keep Katie 2) some really good acts weren't doing to good in the votes, sadly it seems Aiden was one of them

Agree with all those who say they're not going to wait until they know who is in the bottom 3; they will be obliged to announce before voting begins if it is a single or double. Also that they were waiting until they had the 8 they wanted for the tour before doing a double.

I was tweeting Steve last night about his attitude toward the show, I think he just knows how it works rather than having inside info. Wagner will go now that they have the final 8 ( final 8 go on the x factor live tour) sorted out it's the same as katie. Wagner and Kate this week Paige and mary next week then penultimate show one direction 3rd place rebecca 2nd place Cher 1st matt.

And you can all keep me to this order

Only if they announce it on the Saturday show, otherwise they can clearly see who is going to be in the bottom part come the Sunday show.

Matt has lost his top spot due to dropping his guard.
