Her career is selling bollocks "nutritional substitutes" online. Any publicity will get people visiting her site, which will increase sales. I don't think she has to worry.

I don't think her going into the jungle is going to boost sales of her "nutritional substitutes" at all. If anything without the overly airbrushed image she has on the site, seeing the 'real' Gillian, actually does more to reinforce the idea that her her advice, and her pills are rubbish, and do nothing.
She is a terrible advert for what she peddles as "healthy"!

All she has done so far is proven (yet again) is that she is a lair, a fraud, and will stop at nothing to make a living from deceiving the public.
She has committed career suicide, and even the producers of the show are suspicious of her fainting!

I don't think she had much of a career anyway and I reckon she was paid very little to do the show, so little to lose and little to gain except massaging her own ego.

I believe her phobias are fairly genuine but I find it nigh on impossible to believe she didn't know EXACTLY what the format of the show was. You'd have to live on another planet not to know that contestants are made to live in the jungle and eat grubs and will be surrounded by giant bugs - and on top of its very high visibility to the entire nation she's seen and signed personal contracts, had it all explained to her by lawyers, producers, agents, gone through psychological and medical assessments etc etc etc She's supposed to be educated, analytical and to run a business, so to claim to think she would be staying in a hotel is not credible - it's that that will damage her more than playing up to the cameras, plus not really trying.

BTW LOVING Ant and Decs childish comments about vegans. Bet all vegans are annoyed!

She claims to have 'Never seen the show before' and 'Didn't know what it entailed'.
Who in their right mind would enter such a show/competition without gaining a modicum of understanding of what was expected of them as a contestant?

Yeah, i agree, i don't think her antics will do her career any harm as any publicity normally gets people searching online for them and their connections. She will almost certainly do well for the next few months !

She's a terrible role model for anything - she gives off such overwhelming waves of negativity that I'm amazed anyone could want to follow her dietary advice if that's what it does to you.

She may have made herself vastly unpopular with the viewers, but she has achieved her goal - there are more threads about her, than anyone else. The media will be falling over themselves to interveiw her when she is voted out of the jungle.

If she is trying to further her career as a health guru them IMO she's made a huge mistake appearing on the show. In order to have credability as a spokeperson so that people want to listen to what you have to say you have appear to be in strong and in control of yourself and your life. Why would anyone want to take advice from someone who obviously has as many phobias and issues as Gillian has?

Yes, she's correct in her assumption that we want entertaining during tasks; but, the one thing you don't do is treat your audience like fools. The only fool I can see is a 51-year-old, with a deeply unattractive personality.

Also going to add that I do not believe she planned to spend a few days in the jungle only to be booted out into a 5* hotel for a 3 week holiday. The plan was probably to get herself maximum publicity by being selected for all the tasks. 'Brave McFake' (vomit smillie), would overcome her fears and the public, who would be full of admiration, would spend their multiple 50p calls to vote the fake as Queen of the Jungle.

With her record of fakery and the ease with which she turns to litigation the minute someone says anything she doesn't like, I doubt if she has many friends left in either the media or health industries.
