Her 16-year-old daughter was on the phone to the studio on 'This Morning'. When asked about Gillian apparently not knowing about the programme she said that they didn't have a tv at home, so she really didn't know what it was all about.
Then later on they showed some footage of McKeith sitting at the campfire in Camp Sheila saying that those who screamed and made a big fuss were more entertaining to the viewers than those who just got on with it.

If she was my mum I'd keep my head down and my mouth shut - how embarassing.

So McKeith thinks that watching someone doing nothing is more entertaining than watching some activity does she? She has got to realise sooner rather than later that due to her selfish attitude the members of the group are not being fed. So far they have been very tolerant but very soon she is going to be given a very torrid time by the others. Britt Ekland is beginning to show signs of being pissed off by her. McKeith has to learn that this show is about teamwork. So far her attitude has been to put number one first. In terms of team spirit she is about as useful as mens' tits. She should decide whether she is going to be a valuable member of the team, if not she should voluntarily piss off home. The bush tucker trials are becoming completely one sided because she does not compete.

I just wished they had asked about how she felt about being the daughter of an outed con-woman.

Not sure why the vitriol is aimed at Gillian McKeith when it should be directed at the brain-dead telly zombie who lap her programmes up. Who is the idiot here - the lady who made a mint out of it, or the people so utterly stupid and devoid of wit they believe everything they are told (hello DS!)

Also did you see Phillip Schofield squirm when Gillians daughter said when asked why her mum would do somthing like this that they had relatives in Australia and it would allow them to vist them..........Phillips face was a picture like he was embarrased for her because it was like they would get a free trip to Oz.

Missed that on This Morning, but I did see the clip where she faked her faint, she was allegedly spark out, but pulled her top down to hide her belly.
She's playing a game and not a nice one, Katie Price tried it last year and the public saw straight her, if she hadn't walked she woulda been booted.

You beat me to it posting this because I also feel that the McKeiths just wanted a free trip to see their relatives... well the daughter was being very honest on This Morning and said she'd be going over too!!! WHY was Gillian exempt from the bus task? Surely if you put youself up for this programme you should be capable of doing any of the tasks!!

I suspect she might habe been ruled out because of her back. The bus task seems to involve being flung out of the bus in a harness if you mess up, so it's probably that aspect of it that's the problem.

Most people who style themselves as Dr McKeith and wear a white coat and have patients and go on TV telling people how to be healthier might be considered medical doctors - I don't necessarily think you would have to be a brain dead telly zombie, utterly stupid or devoid of wit to accept that was the case.

The fact that it took Dr Ben Goldacre and his Bad Science column in the Guardian and later his blog and book to inform the public that she was not only not a medical doctor but even her PhD had been bought at a dodgy unaccredited American postal college puts the blame firmly in her corner and not in the corner of people who believe what they are told on TV.

Must have a TV now as daughter said they are watching her on TV. Rather sad that the only person speaking up for her is her 16year old daughter. Where are her friends!!!

I doubt she has any friends. She'd certainly be no fun at a dinner party!

But surely her agent would have told her what the programme was about? And would anyone really go on a programme without knowing anything about it?

Methinks we are being played for fools:yawn:

I would find it incredibly difficult to believe that she doesnt have a tv in her home... she loves herself so much that she would have to watch herself on telly...

But - SURELY - , even if she didn't have a TV, she would have been well filled in by the show's recruitment guys. I imagine the process to get on the show is pretty rigorous and all sorts of documents have to be signed saying that the 'celebrities' know what they are getting into. How can she say she didn't really know what she was getting into. Wild guess here... but I'm sure the presence of spiders, creepy things, snakes, heights, camping etc. would have been mentioned at some point to her before she went in..... just a crazy wild guess

This is a woman who employs a firm of solicitors to take action against anybody from big newspapers to anonymous bloggers who writes anything she thinks is defamatory against her nutritional and scientific claims. Thankfully there are some who stand up to her and those that have got to court have rarely gone in her favour, for good reason. I wonder when my letter from Atkins Solicitors will arrive on my mat.

This would be the same daughter who was quoted as saying, when confronted about her mother 'fainting' that "I think there are different levels of unconsciousness" I would have thought with no TV she would be better educated...or maybe, she needs a TV to watch some medical shows, and find out that a person can't be a a bit unconscious, just like someone can't be a bit pregnant or a bit dead!
They are either conscious or not, and Gillian was conscious, she pulled her shirt down, and responded to the command from Bob to breathe deeply, neither things could be performed by an unconscious person.

I am very curious as to why her daughter is being asked to even comment on things, she surely didn't see it...what with having no TV!
What would her mummy say about her watching the evil goggle box whilst she is suffering in the jungle...tut tut!

Another one of her phobias I'm afraid.......she had an unfortunate incident when she criticised a bus driver for having a leather steering wheel cover.......shortly afterwards the conductor punched her ticket!! (yeah I know.....join the queue)
