Lack of 3G signal in Cardiff on Virgin Mobile

Hi all I have successfully been using my HTC Desire on Virgin Mobile for the past few months in and around Cardiff and have always had a great 3G signal.

Since Saturday(and this is now day 4) - my phone just doesnt find any 3G signal in Cardiff anymore.

Ive tried CIty Centre, Canton, Pontcanna, Culverhouse Cross - all areas I usually get a decent signal.

Ive tried rebooting the phone, removing battery for long periods etc but no success.

Could anyone confirm whether there is a signal in Cardiff or what else I can try on my HTC Desire?

Have you called Virgin to see what they say? They could be having technical issues in their area, or they may not even know there's a problem.

Yeah will try that now! Just wondered if there was a common problem -I hate ringing VM!

virgin gets 3G in Edinburgh but don.t even bother with o2.

oh well agonisingly poor phone line to VM help.

ive logged my issues and someone from the tech team will call me back within 48 hours!

that's as much as i got out em!!

Bizarrly this exact same issue has reared its head and i cant remember how I resolved it last time! Time to call VM again!

Strange when I googled it this thread was top answer! lol
