Lembit - strange man
GibsonSG
17-11-2010
Now I remember why I can't stand politicians, and ex-politicians. Thought the way he dealt with the question about ministers expenses was masterful and certainly changed my mind with reference to the legitimacy of some of the much publicised expenses claims. I thought his contention that wrongful claims were not tantamount to fraud and therefore not punishable by a term at her majestys pleasure - particularly if you are the leader of the conservatives - was bang on the money. I suggest the next time we see an mp we should all open our wallets and repeat the sacred oath "help yourself".

I'm confused.

You don't like politicians.
You agree with this politican.

There is sarcasm in there somewhere but its not very clear where it is intended. Perhaps you could put your point a bit more straighforwardly?

I feel quite sorry for him actually. Nigel and Linford are very focused on putting him down every chance they get.
Nigel havers is coming off very badly to me i must say.

Lembit may be a strange man but he always seems to have an attractive woman on his arm!

I feel a bit sorry for him too. He's like the strange child at school that no-one wants to play with. I feel he tries really hard to make people like him but it just doesn't quite come off.

Only on DS would this egomaniac get sympathy. He's an arrogant twit.

Got a feeling that the Cheeky Girl was looking for a passport to stay here, what better way than getting off with a politician.

It will be interesting to see how many attractive women hang off his arm now he's a nobody!

Linford was being a bit of a dick toward him to be fair,
maybe Lembit should tell him all athletes caught taking drugs should end up in prison

he was fine with lumping all politicians into one group so why not athletes, hypocrite.

Everyone associates Lembit with the cheeky girl. He spent far more time in a relationship with Sian Lloyd. I believe they were engaged. Sian devoted much of her autobiography to dissing Lembit. He can't have been that bad when she shared a home with him in Wales and almost married the man. She seemed to relish being the girlfriend of a polititian back then (before he became naff).

You don't read Private Eye do you? It was a combination of sarcasm and commentary. Politicians are crooked, and David Cameron - our wonderful Prime Minister - as well as Lembit and others should have gone to prison for fraud. Does that explain it better?

Everytime he pops up whether in camp/jungle or he is mentioned in commentary, I seem to revert to a Steve Wright character from 80s and immediately start shouting MADE UP NAME

He went out with one of the Cheeky Girls, so not sure that goes with your comment Pandora. The Cheeky Girls are like sticks with legs, not attractive at all.

Probably because he is a push over.
A strong woman loves a weak man she can control.
Even better if he has a bit of money.
