At first I was on her side, despite her tone and manner being incredibly rude and condescending and I really thought Stuart had messed up. However, in the end, the car idea turned out to be the winner for them and got them through the task.

Did she ever backtrack and apologize, I wonder? In retrospect, her harsh slating of the video it was misguided and way off the mark (ie. the kids loved it)

I agree with you, I just said as much in the episode thread. Why is Stuart not getting any credit for his idea that not only Joanna, but ALL of his team didn't seem to be supporting at the time? It was so good, that the other team only got started after they copied it, and after the win, they excluded him from the group hug. I hope one of Stella, Joanna or Laura gets fired next week.

He was a bell end in that task.

The reason Stubaggs doesn't deserve the credit is that he got it right by accident, or at least we didn't see him say "kiddies love pedal cars - lets get them in a race!"
Rather it was "Stubaggs love adrenaline! me drive fast car! Other 20-something numpties like me will want drive fast car!"

Why do certain posters place Joanna's minor errors under the microscope on a weekly basis in order to discredit her? Yes Joanna may have been wrong in that instance but Stuart was more wrong and rude overall therefore if anyone needed to apologise, it was him.

Joanna's one of the strongest and most consistent candidates this year - get over it.

Well Stuart did come up with the car idea (it was probably not too hard for him to do that, given his character) - but it was Joanna who came up with using a pedalcar, which helped him win. And she sold the best.

And yeah, she's one of the strongest candidates.

Exactly. It was Joanna who recognised the need to appeal to kids...which was the furthest thing from Stuart's mind! He simply wanted to blag the drive on the racing track...

Good question.

There always seem to be a few posters who get off on criticising certain candidates as often and in as much detail as possible.

And it always seems to be the female candidates that bear the brunt of their attentions.

The point is that she really, really slated the video as she was watching it.... I mean she sounded as though it was the stupidest thing ever made, like 'How could you?'. Even though I thought the video was crap too, the way she expressed herself crossed the line I though.

To be honest, without Joanna and the other girl who went and bought that stuff like the car and so on, and their interaction with the kids, they'd have lost.

What I mean is, with that video ALONE, they'd have attracted no-one..

I think what Joanna (and Stella) both didn't like about the racing car idea was the fact that Stuart wanted to aim it at 20somethings when they should've been going for the kids market.

That was something that Stuart eventually backtracked on and agreed with them about - so it should've been Stuart who apologised to the others and not the other way around.
